Buying from Ebay, does free shipping include handling fee and everything?
Hi,
I’m new to ebay. There’s a pair of shoes I wanted to buy from a seller that is located in China and I’m in Canada. It says free shipping on the item’s page, does that mean that the price of the item is the only thing I have to pay, no more no less?
Is the handling fee also include in the "free shipping" statement?
Thanks!
According to eBay’s rules, when an eBay seller advertises ‘Free Shipping’ to a particular location they are *not* allowed to charge you any additional fees for things like shipping and handling. Of course, you should still carefully read an auction listing to make sure you completely understand the terms of the sale.
Here’s what eBay tell’s their sellers about offering Free Shipping:
Free shipping
You can offer free shipping to select or all destinations.
For a destination with free shipping, no other fees related to shipping, handling, or packaging can be charged.
You’re not allowed to change the shipping method to a slower option.
