How do you change font SIZE in an eBay listing?

January 18th, 2013 2 comments

I am trying to ist an item for sale on eBay and cannot seem to get the font size right. I have made the font bigger by using but I want to make it smaller for the next section of text and cannot get it to shrink down. I have tried putting at the end of the first section of text, but it doesn’t work. Help?

You’re using old school HTML. I don’t think you can even enter a font size larger than 12.

Try this instead:

This is your text.

Notice that you’re giving it a point size like you would in Microsoft Word. That makes it easier to figure out what the size will be beforehand.

How do you cancel out an ebay auction and relist it?

December 30th, 2012 1 comment

I sold a phone on ebay and clearly stated no international shipping on my auction. I sold the phone and just received the payment through paypal and found out the person that won my auction is located in the Ukraine. Is there a way I can cancel the auction and relist it for free since ebay let this guy bid on my phone even though I said I wouldnt ship it overseas?

Did you actually specify in the P&P section of your auction which parts of the world you would post to and which you wouldn’t?

Even if you type "no international shipping" in the text of the auction if you offered shipping to Europe or "worldwide" shipping in the postage section then he was entitled to bid. He may not have good English and may not have understood the words you typed in the auction but by seeing a postage rate for his country he assumed he could bid and quite rightly so.

The only way of excluding overseas bidders is specify domestic postage rate only in the P&P section. You can also limit who is allowed to bid on your auctions, ie automatically block bidders from countries to which you don’t ship, new Ebayers with feedback of <5 etc.

He has paid so post him the phone, what have you got to lose? I can’t see what the problem is really?

If you don’t want to ship internationally another time then simply do not offer international postage you can specify "no international postage" quite easily. You must have filled the boxes in for the postage cost to Europe otherwise he would have had to have contacted you to find out how much postage to pay? How did he know how much to pay?

People still use ebay?

Money sent though paypal and ebay sellers say they have got nothing yet. Whats going on?

July 9th, 2012 1 comment

Well this is what is happening, I have purchased $60 worth of goods from Ebay off several different suppliers. At the time i went to pay the the people i actually had $0.00 in my paypal, My mum said i can still pay for the items and paypal will take it as a credit thing. Two days later i put $60 in the paypal account, i waited for the payments to clear for several days and then it saild Declined "Insufficient funds"

I used the pay now button from ebay to pay with paypal the first time, the second time i tried to pay (With the money now on my paypal) I could not click on the pay now button from ebay so i simply clicked the "Send money" on paypal to the sellers correct payment email address. All good and well, But they still say they have not received payments and will cancel the sale if the money does not clear in 4 days.

Paypal said that the payment was sent on the 3rd of Feb its now the 17th of Feb! whats going on?

Is it possible to claim back that money if i may of sent it to a email address that is wrong or anything like that?

Thanks in advance,

This has been happening to me.

I changed my primary email with Ebay and Paypal. I had to go into my Ebay store and change that email address on every item in my store.
You made a purchase, and Paypal defaults BACK to the old email address, which is no longer connected to my account. You send the money there, I cannot get it.
Then you have all the hoops to jump through to fix the problem.

First- Go to the item and check on payment. It should send you to the Paypal transaction. If it says that seller has not claimed the money, then BINGO! it went to the wrong address.

Second- Cancel the payment.

Third- Contact the seller and ask for the correct email address to make payment to, or better yet, ask for a new invoice with the correct email.

Fourth – Make payment again.

Would be so much easier if Ebay and Paypal were not so greedy that they accept payment to email addresses without accounts.

Stupid Ebay people haven’t received my payment via paypal but i sent it, what’s going on?

Selling Ebooks on Ebay is Really Very Lucrative

February 8th, 2012 No comments

bay is widely considered the digital flea-market of the Internet. But for many savvy infopreneurs, Ebay is a goldmine. And to them, selling ebooks on eBay is wildly profitable.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying they are banking big checks from selling ebooks on eBay at $1 for a bundle of 100 of them! No. These smart infopreneurs are looking on eBay in the right sense – as a huge gathering place of eager, ready to buy customers.

You could get into their midst, scream yourself hoarse about your ebooks, and make a few sales. Or you could go about the process of segmenting and selling your ebooks to the perfect targets – and make a lot more sales at far less effort or expense.

To get it right, you need to understand the process.

#1 – Having your product funnel

Are you planning to get rich by selling your ebook on ebay for $19 – and doing it over and over, many times? Forget that. It’s hard work.

Instead, create your own product funnel. This means having a series of products or services – ebooks, reports, courses, homestudy programs, seminars, coaching and mentoring sessions and more – on the theme of your expertise.

#2 – Segment your audience

Then, write an ebook and offer it for sale on eBay – at a mouth-watering low price that’s hard to resist.

This is the wide mouth of the funnel, designed to attract as many interested prospects who are good candidates for buying your other products and service. The main purpose of your ebook here is to find those people on eBay who are interested in your niche or theme.

#3 – Educate your buyers about the value you offer

Once you’ve got a list of customers from selling ebooks on eBay, communicate with them regularly. Give them valuable information, coaching, education and resources to improve their life. While you do this, educate them about the value you offer.

For instance, don’t just give away a collection of links to helpful websites. First, mention how you spent 14 hours surfing the Web, checking out hundreds of other websites, looking for only the very best resources that offered the highest value without wasting a user’s time. You should visit us at www.eazy-ebook-money.com. Then share how you sifted through the list, and compiled the best of the lot into this special report, which you are sharing with only valued clients, because you care about them!

#4 – Sell your eBay list your higher value items

Once you have established a trusting relationship with the list you build from selling ebooks on eBay, you can now offer them more value at a higher price point and still have a fair number of them take you up on it.

This sequential approach has helped you turn a $1 buyer on eBay into a life-long client who willingly spends increasingly higher amounts with you because you offer more value.

Selling ebooks on eBay is not a route to instant profits. But if you know what you’re doing and have a structured approach to business building, it can be very lucrative. eBay being a dynamic marketplace, things change very rapidly. To stay on top of things, you must constantly study and educate yourself on the nuances of being a better infopreneur. This way, you can make eBay your goldmine too.
