What is the best paid or unpaid resource to see what is selling best on ebay per category?

What you want to know,i think you want to know about what items is the best selling on eBay,Use the eBay Pulse to discover the day’s most-searched-for items. Although the list changes daily, it consistently includes electronics such as iPods, gaming consoles and cell phones. Items in the Pulse usually stay on the list for a while or reappear often, so they are some of the best items to sell on eBay. Electronics whose demand is greater than the retail supply, such as the latest iPhone or Xbox, will typically sell for sometimes hundreds of dollars more than the retail price. It’s usually worth your while to stand in the long lines and buy several of these hard-to-find gadgets. Paid online services, such as HammerTap and Terapeak, analyze eBay selling trends and offer insight on the most popular products.
Now i am gonna tell you about collectible items. There’s almost no limit to what some people will collect. eBay is a virtual smorgasbord for collectors seeking to score their next pieces. Although research through eBay’s Pulse or other seller tools can help guide you toward the most popular collectibles, don’t discount items in your garage or those sometimes found at yard sales and flea markets. If you have something that seems interesting, research it online to see if it is part of a collection. In addition to art, memorabilia and items such as baseball cards, people tend to collect antique pieces in good condition. These pieces include clothes, decorations, magazines, bottles, spoons, candlesticks, jewelry and picture frames.eBay shoppers are typically looking for a deal on clothes and other fashion items, such as handbags — especially designer options such as Coach or Versace. If you have an affordable fashion supplier, your items could be among the best selling on eBay — but only if you can drastically undercut the retailer’s price.you can try izzonet for know more about successful selling on eBay. http://www.izzonet.com/streetwise-ecommerce/tips-for-successful-selling-on-ebay

How do i buy and sell on ebay?

January 15th, 2013 2 comments

Hi,
I have recently become interested in buying and selling on eBay, is there specific items that buy and sell and make a profit? I have sold a few items this week and posted them on monday, one was via 1st class and the other was via 2nd class, i still havent been given any feedback. Please help i am a new ebayer.

Mant thanks.

Sell anything you don’t need.
I myself sell like trading cards and all that stuff.

Keep in mind how big the item is for shipping.

But, if looking for just selling stuff around the house an ipod touch is perfect!
Those sell super fast

Since pretty much everyone knows that an ipod touch is sold for $200 used at $150-170
You would lose money(since you have to put it down as used), but if you have your own phone (especially an iPhone) it would be nice to just sell that for around 160 (include cord ALWAYS)

If you are actually looking to make profit buy stuff that people want but no-one really knows the price.
For example take trading cards. Pokemon like cards you won’t get gobs of money but are easy to get from a friend.

Baseball cards are where the money is really at when you where a kid you probably had some.

but now baseball cards aren’t bought as much, like they aren’t really much of a trend. (Although kids may not be buying them extreme collectors will buy)
That is your opportunity to sell yours but before you sell them look the card(s) up online some can get in $1000!
Hope this Helped!

What are the best ways to ensure success when selling on eBay?

November 26th, 2012 3 comments

My wife has recently begun selling on eBay, and she really enjoys it. What are some tips to ensure that she has success in selling?

Right product, right time.

If she’s selling an iPhone for instance right now, or a Wii, she’ll do well, if she’s selling other stuff it’s a crap shoot. Not just electronics though, but general items, she needs to know the market.

Who is she selling to? Who’s on that other end? Are her customers male or female? What’s their income? Why are they buying on ebay and not in the real world? How old are they?

Then she needs to fill the needs of her target market. She can also gear her pitch for her target market. For example if her target market is rich women, and she’s selling jewelry, she may want to use words that make her jewelry sound even more upscale, like "luxurious" or "fabulous" or "couture". Conversely if she were selling jewelry for men to give as gifts to their significant others she may want to use something like "she’ll love it" or "remind her how much you love her with this beautiful ring" or "the perfect engagement ring" or something like that.

So first she needs to know her market. Then she needs to have the right products for that market. High end shoppers don’t want low end goods, and people with low income don’t want expensive goods for example.

Then she needs to know the time. Some products will sell better at different times of year. Jewelry may sell better in summer because of wedding season, socks may sell better in winter because it’s cold, shorts in summer, pants in winter. By knowing when something is popular, and when it’s not, she can avoid posting something at a time when it won’t sell, and thus minimize her risk. Also she can put more of the popular items on at peak times.

She should also know the peak time of day, she can just check bid history, if she puts something out for a week, sporadically through that week she’ll get bidders. If they share a common time range, say 9-midnight or something, after work hours, then she can also figure out when to list things so that the closing time will coincide with the larger amount of customers bidding, and avoid posting something when there’ll be fewer people bidding. Compare it to a regular business, they have set hours because that’s when customers come in, businesses aren’t open when there’s not going to be any customers, that’s just wasting money.

So yeah, know your market, know your customer, have the right product for your market, and the right timing. That’s the best you can do.

What should I do if AT&T declined my request to unlock my iPhone 4?

November 16th, 2012 5 comments

I bought a used iPhone 4 16GB from ebay. I was hoping that AT&T could unlock the phone for me, but they emailed me that this phone was not eligible to be unlocked. Do I still have any chance to get the phone unlocked? (The phone has already been updated to OS 5.1 and the latest firmware by the seller, so forget about Gevey or other unofficial methods)

if your in PA i have a few for sale and trade that are unlocked..email me

Ebay Advice/Tips, Please Advise?

July 13th, 2012 4 comments

I need some suggestions as to some things that i can do to attract more bidders. I have my Iphone for sale on ebay, and it is selling for significantly less than some of it’s competition. In comparing it to others my listing has alot of "one ups" that others don’t… mine is brand new, im offering free shipping, i’ve got it bolded, Pictures, im offering to unlock it… i just don’t understand why it’s not getting the bids like the others. Any suggestions or tips to get folks to quit watching and BID! I’m down to 13hrs left on a 3 day auction and mine is selling at less than 1/2 what comparable others are. Thanks ahead of time for any advice!

First of all I would have done a longer listing for more exposure but that aside does it say there are any "watchers"?

Most bids come in the last hour or two so don’t panic yet. If it’s a good deal it will sell.

will ebay shut me down for selling knockoff element/Vapor iphone cases? Is it patent item?

June 20th, 2012 2 comments

I bought 10 knockoff from a retail store? is it legal to sale on Ebay?

Ebay will freeze your account if you got any complaining about these fake products. But if you treat your buyers nice, then it will be OK… Personally I have been selling these things for quite a white, and never a problem. Where do you bought these fake vapor cases? I got them from http://www.eachsupplier.com

MainstreamTradingCo.com Biggest Scam & Ripoff Report By Consumers?

MainstreamTradingCo.com Biggest Scam & Ripoff Report By Consumers, For Consumers. Mainstream Trading Co., Inc. is a Consumer Electronics Brokerage Firm specializing in the sale of Biggest Scam Artist & Con Man
Where can I start and end. For starters we all know the big hype of iPhones and how buyers are liking to home in this incredible deal investment but what I am about to tell you is that don’t quit your day job. What makes us driven to impulsively buy from suppliers that look legitimate and make an honest noble payment towards them. In return in the process do you gain respect? Yes, at first but what about after the process of receiving no item.
This is where I come in. Do not be fooled my this legitimate MainstreamTradingCo.com. These people are taking money by wire transfer and not sending any items at all. You’re dealing with one person only by Andrew Thurmond – Mainstream Sales Team (he uses different Alias Names and the only person on phone) Strongly urge people to follow my steps in verifying this Company in the Better Business Bureau Site Link That I have posted further below. I did my part in Paying a Large Sum of money by Wire Transfer because that’s the only payment they accept. I initially made payment for 5pcs iPhone 3g 16GB Officially Unlocked and Factory Sealed (Luckily didn’t pay for 10pcs just imagine) each pcs per iPhone is 440 usd. This Company is Located in the States, have 1800- num, address, and Incorporation i.d on Company Operation. I Truly Believe I Have Been Scammed & Hard Lesson in the Future To Deal With Fraudulent People Like These.

Reference Of The Company Better Business Bureau File(Please Note it’s Rated D- )
Side the fact I didn’t even did a cross reference check with Better Business Bureau. I highly Recommend you look at this case study because this is exactly will happen to you. Below is this Web Link.

My Questions & Inquiry
-How is it that a Merchandise Worth 2k has no proven track num Fedex?
-How is it that emails are forwarded with no guarantee that items are being sent?
-How is it Customs Holding will take 10days (note my case is only they didn’t sent item or credit money back not any Customs Holding)
A Con Man Usual Techniques to Avoid (Companies Business Practice)
-A Sales Pitch by only One Person on Phone (Literally One Person Pausing the Phone Dial, Answering, Claiming that Staffs on Lunch Break and Email Alias Names ex Sara Minish)
-A Fairly Good Invoice in PDF(It even looks presentable)
-1800-Num and Actual Site
-Payments Only By Money Transfer( Pitch on Paypal “Paypal holds ten days and that Apple does not allow because it’s unlocked iPhone) We all Know that EBay has its Payment Gateway Paypal which always secures Buyers Interest and Fraudulent Sellers at it place.
-D- on BBB Review( The Better Business Bureau Program which this Companies Fail to Enroll)
-Shipping Delays close to 10 days and than additional 3 days more claiming that staff is working overtime to be sent for departure terminal. (Yet again if you per say ordered a $14 item from another company with actual credit process and given 24hr Fedex Track Num. Chances are you will be getting that low cost of item to your door step but When You Purchase 5pcs iPhone or 10 which is extremely loads of Money. Chances are you won’t get it A. This Mainstream Trading Co. is not a Legitimate Company with no proper Payment Gateway B. No FedEx Track Num Given Period C. You just been scammed my a semi sophisticated iPhone Wholesaler.
-Con Man finds loop holes and puts out fake inquiries of shipment.
-Con Man searches his own complaints on web and tries to convince other buyers that he has done everything but we all know these are plain words.
My Own Experience
-From the Beginning. I talked asked if items are authentic and the usual product inquiry.
-Gave my right info and details on Wire Transfer Payment ,Emailed, & Faxed Invoice which I signed.
Payment sent May 29 and they received it by them on June 2/2009
-Promptly contacted for delivery on June 2/2009 for Confirmation On Delivery and Fedex Track Num
-More Given Delays That Week
-June 8/2009 a sympathetic reply stating will contact warehouse (This is One Person Operating)
– June 11/2009 another email reply that staff members had delayed issues and will ship.( This is One Person Operating)
-June 15/2009 .Replied to them “If you can’t supply shipping details than credit me back.”
They Emailed back stating a “we will issue an RMA if we can not find out where your products are.”
At that point No Answers! Completely Vanished
Summary
Let me think about this issue an RMA? First how does 2k worth of item is untraceable.Where’s the proven track num Fedex? Do not take individuals money for your own scheme and put out incorporation on your company. If you dealing business like enroll

Looks like they aren’t a very trustworthy company… If you want to research companys, I suggest creating a profile @ Consupo and checking out their reviews made by consumers.
