Do I have to go to the dealer to get new speakers in my Ponitac Vibe 2006?
Well, you know how it goes…… y’ like a certain tune or singer so you turn up the volume. The car has a lot of road noise, therefore the volume has to be WAY up. This is the second car that had the speakers blown out, or whatever that is that happens. This time it was Janis Joplin’s fault.
So where’s the best place to go for new speakers without spending an arm and a leg? (and not telling my husband.)
Well first of all Koodoos on taste! If it wasn’t Pink Floyd blowing your speakers then I am glad it was Janis. I can’t recomend a place if I don’t know your region. Sothern Califonia costs are much higher then Michigan. Go on Craig’s list and pick cheaper states to buy from, my guess would be the declining market states, Texas, Alabama, Michiagn, Tenesse, and pockets of California (northen section not LA area). Also check for going out of business stores. You can’t loose on Ebay (sometimes). Have fun and shop around. Stick to qaulity though like Sony.
I agree with checking the quality of your radio/ CD player.
If you have time and transportation go to a few stores and ask the sales people. Get thier opnion why you keep blowing it out. In my book, Customer service, and add-on warentees are much more important then price.
When you have the price, find something around the house of equal value that your husband won’t miss and sell it on ebay. That way you are not spending his money.
However, the truth will set you free. He just may be as sick of the problem as you are and will want to come up with a reasonable solution. if you do your homework and you have a plan, then you won’t have as much resistance. No marriage will work on deception.
Make sure you also get him some of his favorite music so that he will want to play it. This way it is not all one sided.
