Can I use expired Kodak 620 film for my Kodak Duaflex IV camera?

November 16th, 2012 1 comment

I’ve seen a bunch of expired film for sale on ebay and a lot of them say "Develop before 1960" or something similar, or simply that it expired in the fifties. Does that mean it is completely unusable? And if so, where can I find moderately-priced Kodak 620 film for my camera?

620 finally died in 1995 so you will not find any. Most people respool 120 onto 620 spools or modify 120 spools (not all cameras need that, I’m getting conflicting opinions on the duaflex IV)

Film that expired in 1960.. I wouldn’t. Good chance the emulsion degraded to unusable gunk by now. On the other hand if it’s cheap enough it’s a way to obtain some 620 spools.

Anyway, here’s a page with more information including some links to respooling techniques.

Cnc Machine Auction

July 13th, 2012 4 comments

Are you looking to save money on your CNC purchase? One of the best places to look is a CNC machine auction. Before wasting your time, do some research on the exact type of machine you need. Then, if possible attend the previewing of the auction items. This way you can look over the items before bidding on anything.

There could be a variety of different CNC machines available at a CNC machine auction. Which type do you need? Is it a milling machine or a tube bending machine? These are important points to note before any bidding begins.

What type of auction should you attend? You have several otpions, one is an auction for a manufacturing facility that is going out of business and needs to liquidate it’s assets. Another, is an auction house that is auctioning off items for a specific client. There are websites that cater specifically to machines and CNC machine auctions.

Sometimes a CNC machine auction may allow you to inspect the merchandise prior to any bidding. In other cases, you are not allowed to carefully inspect the machines. As in the case with any type of auction, it is buyer beware. It is much better for you if you have some experience with these types of mashines. In addition, try to bid on a machine that appears to be rarely used.

Some people even have had some luck on ebay when searching for a good CNC machine auction. The reason why more people are turning to auctions for CNC machines is because of the popularity of these machines these days and the downturn in the economy. Companies are looking at cheaper ways to upgrade their current machinery and to reduce costs to compete in todays economic uncertainty.

A CNC machine auction is similar to any other auction in that you must know the item you are bidding on. Do your homework and there is a good chance that you will get yourself a bargain.

The Best Part for Auctions Fans is the Three-day Period in Which the Auction is Open

June 1st, 2012 No comments

Have you ever thought of anything to buy without knowing exactly where to go and get it? I honestly believe there is no such thing. In this century anything on earth can be sold and purchased, even Earth itself. If you like competition and bargaining, auctions can give you that kind of pleasure no matter which hamlet you live it; online auctions are open 24 hours a day for anyone willing to take a chance. Domain auctions are very fashionable nowadays; after all, domains sound like the real estate of the internet. People buy domains to drive traffic to their sites and for many other reasons, and you don’t have to search for long if there is a certain name you have in mind. Domains expire every other minute because people forget about them or just don’t need them anymore so you have a good chance to find what you are looking for in a very short time by only creating an account on one of those websites which organize expired domain auctions. The procedure is piece of cake. As soon as you have created an account in one of these ‘marketplaces’, you may start searching for thousands of domains available or visit www.auction-o-matics.com
Most of these sites offer a very good advanced search option so you won’t waste much time to get to the name that meets your needs. You will be able to see and monitor a significant number of current and future auctions. You may use the automated bidding system that most of these websites provide if you set the system properly, according to your bid limits. In this way, you won’t even have to follow the updates; the system will do it for you. However, it is wiser to sit in front of the computer and personally monitor the auction in its final quarter of an hour. Relying on email notification is not recommendable as we all know sometimes emails do not reach their destination because of errors beyond control. Some websites feature not only available auctions, but also auctions that will soon be available, so you may increase the chance to find the very domain you desire. As soon as you have chosen the domain names that you want to purchase, you will add them to your cart and select the bidding limits that you find appropriate you can visit www.auctions-profits.com
It is as simple as that; no time wasted, sweat or headaches. Sometimes you may be surprised to see that you are the only bidder. In that case, you will automatically win the auction and, what is more, you will get it for the minimum bid price listed.

Yet, there are many people who prefer the challenge of tight competition and will not take much delight in winning automatically for lack of competitors. So, what you need is a valid card to pay in case you win the auction. Sometimes there is an imposed time limit within which to pay for the domain but that doesn’t sound like a problem; if you have decided to place a bid for a domain name it means you are willing to pay. The best part for auctions fans is the three-day period in which the auction is open. You get email notifications if you are outbid so that you can place a better bid and not lose the domain you are after. Besides the fun that expired domain auctions offers, you are likely to obtain exactly what you need in the most comfortable manner, sitting in your computer chair.

When people visit your internet pages and leave without buying anything, you may never get the chance to sell to them again if they don’t come back to your site, for more details:www.autoresponders-unlimited.com information from emailing in a while, then you can send follow-up messages, and dramatically increase your chances of making a sale in the future.

There are plenty of building a list, but in this article I want to main topic on a strategy generally ignored by the majority of marketers, and that’s through Ebay. When you see listings for $0.01, there’s a good chance the seller is using backend sales tactics or trying to encourage you to join their newsletter, on the other hand they would be losing money for every sale, due to Ebay’s fees being higher than the sales price.

The best way of gathering a lot of sales, and therefore potential subscribers is to obtain some ebooks which offer resale rights, and listing them on Ebay. There are many websites where you can pick them up, routinely for free. If not, there are membership sites, where for a one time fee you can aquire hundreds of ebooks all with resellers rights, or you could of course buy one of these ebooks offering resellers rights on Ebay, oftentimes at a very low price, then resell it yourself.

Unfortunately, not much money is made just from selling many of these ebooks on Ebay alone, because the sellers have forced the prices down to very low levels. Rather, you can help very nicely financially from persuading the purchaser of your ebook to subscribe to your newsletter or ezine.

It’s estimated that every subscriber in your list is worth $1 per month, so if you had 1000 subscribers, you could expect, on average, to earn $1000 per month. This figure assuredly varies a lot depending on your sales copy, Go:www.email-auto-format.com. of your mailings, but it’s so it’s easy to see why owning a list is potentially very profitable.

The idea is to offer on your main site varied quality free bonuses to each new subscriber that opts in to accept your newsletter. I’ve had great success doing this because the majority of everybody, myself included, love freebies, and the purchaser will be more than happy to receive extra no-cost ebooks, as well as their original purchase, just for filling out a simple setup.

Finding Stuff to Sell on Ebay

February 15th, 2012 7 comments

There are a number of places to find things to sell on eBay. The most obvious is, of course, buying items wholesale through the manufacturer, or through a middleman or distributor. Of course, it’s a little bit harder to make a good profit doing things this way, because so many other people will probably be selling the same things. All that competition is going to drive prices down so low on most items that the profits are little to nothing, and only the people who can get their products in large quantities and receive discounts, or who do a massive volume, will be making enough for the ordeal to be worth the effort.

eBay itself is a popular choice. You may find this a bit odd, considering that if an item is available on eBay, others have a chance to get it at the same price you do. You might wonder why they would pay a higher price to you. Well, it’s simple. You want to buy “lots” of items, or you want to buy misspelled items. If you find a pair of shoes that normally sell on eBay for $100, and the title has the brand name misspelled, you might get lucky and be the only person who finds the auction. If the starting bid is $9.99 and there is no reserve, you might get this $100 pair of shoes for $20 or less including shipping. That leaves you the opportunity to make a nice profit!

You might also buy lots of items and break them up. A lot is a group of similar items that are sold together, in a group. You might find a store owner who is closing their store and selling out the inventory on eBay just to get rid of it. You could run across 500 pairs of sunglasses or 20 pairs of shoes in one lot. The average eBay user is not going to purchase a large lot of items this way, so you have a good chance to get the lot at a decent price. You can then break this lot up and sell the items one at a time for a good profit.

One of the most popular ways of finding items to sell on eBay is through places like garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. You can find great items at these places, but you need to be prepared to do this very regularly. Some people visit their favorite thrift stores every week, or even every single day! You never know when they are going to put out a rare piece of pottery, or an antique chair, or a suit that might sell for over $100! And garage sales and flea markets are treasure troves, but you need to be prepared to spend a lot of time sifting through useless junk to find some items that will sell well on eBay.

Another resource that is often overlooked is Craig’s List. This website has free classified listings for nearly every major city in the US, and many others around the world. You can find good items very cheap, and sometimes even free! If you want to spend a little time and effort going to pick up the items, you can very often find great items to sell on eBay in the free section of your city’s listings there.

There are many other ways of finding items to sell on eBay. Consider your local newspapers and thrifty ad magazines, swap meets, live auctions, estate sales, and stores that are going out of business or have surplus inventory. With a little research and a bit of leg work, you’ll find plenty of items to sell that can make you good money!
