Easy Way to Sell Information Products on Ebay

February 20th, 2013 5 comments

Selling information products on the Internet has been one of the biggest boom markets in the last 3 years. You can see that in the number of people selling ebooks, videos, and membership sites and so on, the Internet. Back in 1996 there were under 50 people selling information products online, now in 2005, there are literally millions of sites selling all sorts of information to all sorts of people.

So why are all these people flocking to sell information products online? Because of the promise of quick money from scam artists. Most people who are selling any sort of information online are usually resellers (affiliates or people who brought reprint rights to a product) or they created an ebook themselves. For more details go to www.auction-o-matics.com .What these people don’t understand is that the market is nearly saturated with the same books they are trying to sell. This of course leads to a price war, and then no one makes any money because they are all trying to undercut themselves to be the cheapest in the market. This is not a viable business idea.

So why would you want to get into creating information products and sell them on Ebay?

That’s a good question.

The reason why I’ve been profiting from selling information products is because I make myself different. I don’t go out there selling the same information, I go out there and break new ground with great products at great prices that people actually want to buy, and the best part is I usually spend nothing on advertising.

It still really is possible to make your fortune online with information products; you just have to find 3 things.

1) A hungry market

2) A good product

3) An unrelenting sales machine

All of this will be covered in this guide.

So what exactly are you going to learn in this guide? Here’s a quick run down of what I’m going to teach you, then we will get into business…

Why Sell Information Products On Ebay?

Ebay is the Mecca of online shopping. If you can’t find the product or category you are after on Ebay, it’s probably because it doesn’t exist.

Ebay literally has millions of people with cash in, hand coming into it’s online store everyday looking to buy what ever takes their fancy, and this in my opinion makes Ebay the bee’s knee’s when it comes to advertising online. For more information logon to www.auctions-profits.com .So few people actually think of Ebay as a viable way to make money with their information products. The few who do understand its power are making their fortunes online.

Let me give you a few examples. Connect to the Internet if you have not already and have a look at the following Ebay sellers and make sure to look at their feedback and see what they have sold!

how do i start selling on ebay after i’ve been buying for a while?

February 7th, 2013 2 comments

i have an account already on ebay and have been buying stuff for 3 months on there i think. i want to start selling on there and i would sign up for paypal using my debit card. after i sign up for paypal what do i do to start selling on ebay?

btw, how much does ebay take away from you when you sell something? or when do they take away money and how much?

Read the "how to start selling" tutorial on Ebay would be my advice. There is a lot you need to learn and easy mistakes to avoid making. The sellers fees are listed clearly there, it depends on your starting price, whether you use Buy It Now or auction format etc. You may have to pay an insertion fee? Definitely a Final Value Fee (depends on the final selling price) and a fee to Paypal for accepting a payment. Bear these things in mind when selling :-

See how much similar items are selling for by "watching" one in My Ebay and check after the auction ends. It might not be worth your while bothering for low value items once the fees are paid.

Take a really good clear photograph to upload, don’t copy off the internet.

Weigh the item in its packaging before you work out the P&P, packaging can weigh heavy.

Heavy items do not sell well, people won’t pay a fortune for P&P so think before you sell esp. books which can be quite heavy.

Describe any defects/faults in full it saves having to issue a refund later on to an unhappy buyer.

Always get proof of posting stamped at the post office (this is free, not the same as registered post) because buyers can sometimes turn round and say an item never arrived. If you can scan/email proof of posting to them and have a clear refund policy stated on the auction this takes the wind out of their sales.

Always send expensive items by registered post only, choose that option from the list and sort out how much this is before you list the item.

Good communication is the key on Ebay, communicate with your buyers, answer questions promptly and keep them informed when you post the item.

what tools are required to make your own wooden furniture?

December 12th, 2012 4 comments

I dont have any wood shop experience, but I am very interested in makeing my own furniture. Only problem is I know absolutely nothing about it! If anyone could please give me some help and get me pointed in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Any and all information will help so please dont hesitate to post an answer. thanks!!

I’d suggest starting off slow.

On one hand,,,"anybody" can do it.
I admire You for being interested and Asking about it.

THAT in itself is the Start.

On a less philosphical,,more realistic level……
It takes quite a bit of skill and expense.
Tools and materials are Expensive.
And the Knowledge must be learned.
Then,,the Skills must be developed

And it’s Great when you can end up with something Useful & Nice.

You can spend a fortune on BOOKS.
Or,,go to a Library.
Get books on Basics of Tools and Projects you’re interested in.
You’ll find books about WOODS,,Fastening & hardware,,Finishes,,
Using Hand Tools & Powertools.

INVEST the Time and Effort to get a basic education.

Community Colleges often have short courses.
Some Hardware Stores and Tool Supply companies have seminars and classses.

Find a Local Cabinet Shop/Woodworks and ask for a Tour.
Tell them what Your interests are,,and ask them for advice.
They’re BUSINESSES,,,but they’re People Too—and Many Folks is such trades are Happy to help where they can.

You COULD even offer YOUR services/skills in return for a "short Course" at a local woodshop.

Contact HiSchool Woodshop Teachers for ideas.

Cruise around on "trash Day" and get small furniture Items to PRACTICE on.
Look at how they’re made,,,take them apart & Re-Assemble.
Even if ya wreck the "project",,You WILL learn something at No Cash Expense.

Go to Local Hardware Stores during "Off Hours"(meaning NOT weekends),,and ask about various tools.
Most Local Owned places will be Happy to help.

Im sure others who answer can give you specific suggestions on Books or Info Sources.
But realize when starting from "scratch" there is no real "Best Book",,,Any info is worthwhile.

You Probably have Friends or Family,,know people,,,who have various skills & knowledge ,,and be happy to help.
A Couple Hours of "hand’s On" can get You well-started learning about Tools & how to use them.
Another couple hours "hand’s on" can aquaint you with quite a bit about Techniques,Materials,Etc

Bottomline of my opinion,,,Start at the Local Library & asking LOCALLY for "live help"

Another thought….
You might consider getting started with "KITS" that You assemble.

Simply ASSEMBLING something doesn’t seem as interesting as Cutting/Shaping wood and such.
But it’s a CRITICAL aspect,,and crucial to overall success.
It’s a Very,Very important "Chapter" in what You’re aspiring to do.

Places like
http://www.sauder.com/
come to mind,,,ready-to-assemble "kits" for some NICE furniture at prices little more than raw material costs.
Just for example.

S-A-F-E-T-Y,,,CANNOT be OVERSTRESSED.
We take it for granted,,but working with tools and wood, and stuff DEMANDS fully diligent Safety.
Eyeballs and Fingers/hands simply take Tooo Long to grow back.

You ALREADY ARE pointed in Right Direction,,simply for Seeking Info.
Keep Going:)

Good Luck!

**Just for sake of saying–Power Tools are a Tremendous Help, and very nice.

But Most all of the world’s Most fabulous, elegant,Durable,
Desirable Furniture
was made Not ONLY 100% with Hand Tools,
but with Many TOOLS which themselves
were made by hand.

Which at least Indicates that it doesn’t require a Full,Automated Workshop to get satisfactory results.
Any Tools you DO get,,needs to be good quality though.
As You learn about Tools,,You’ll begin to realize how to shop for tools,,,and find them at discounts via Garage Sales,Ebay,PawnShops, etc.
It’ll save you a bunch of $$$

Winning At The eBay Game

Many people do make good money with their eBay businesses. You can be one of those people if you take the right steps at the beginning to set up your business. You should approach an eBay business like any other. Do the necessary research first. Don’t rush into it with dreams of making a quick fortune.

Take your time and familiarize yourself with the eBay website. Take notes of the type of products you are thinking of selling – check out the competition, pricing and most of all take particular note of actual selling prices and whether the bidding was slow or fast and furious.

There are literally millions (somewhere in the region of 100 million) of eBay members, but this does not mean you are going to reach anywhere near that number. They won’t even know you exist unless you prepare your strategy first.

You’ll find that a large number of successful eBay sellers have started off as buyers. This is a good idea as you can get a feel for how the whole system works, plus you will know what buyers are looking for and what problems you are likely to encounter. Being a buyer will certainly help you become a proficient seller as you will understand the system from both sides of the fence.

A few things to take note of while you are learning from the buyer’s point of view:

  • the customer service you received
  • the accuracy of the description of the selling item
  • the ease and speed of finalizing the transaction
  • whether communication was good or not
  • was the sales page well set out
  • were delivery costs fair and reasonable

If you approach an eBay business like any other online business you will have a much better chance of making a good income. The following points should give you an idea of what you should be thinking about.

1. Decide whether you will set up an eBay Store

Whilst checking out the eBay website, you would have noticed a number of sellers have their own eBay Store. The advantages of this are many and you would be wise to check out the details of setting up your own eBay Store. Information is readily available on the eBay site.

2. Setting up your own Website

For many reasons, it is advisable to have your own independent website. Look at it as your “Head Office” with your eBay store as a subsidiary. If at some time in the future you decide to discontinue your eBay store, you will still have your business website.

Another good reason for setting up a website is that it gives you the ability to diversify your business. This can mean the difference between success and failure. It will also give you the ability to build a subscriber list that will be beneficial for both your eBay business and your own website business.

3. What Products are in high demand?

Take particular note of products that sell well and what the competition is. Also check the availability of the products as well as the cost. Armed with this information you can determine whether or not a product is a viable proposition.

4. eBay Learning Center and University

Before you think of buying tutorials on eBay trading, check out the resources provided by eBay.

The Learning Center will provide you with tutorials and guides relative to the different areas of eBay. In addition, you will find many free resources on the internet in the form of reports, tutorials and e-books. So have a good look around before paying for this type of information. Of course if you do purchase training products they will more than likely be a taxable deduction.

The eBay University runs offline and online courses covering every aspect of an eBay business. This is where you can learn tried and true methods from the experts.

Running your own eBay business can be a rewarding experience. To ensure you succeed, research your market and your product before undertaking your first Auction.

Remember you will receive queries from prospective bidders, so you must be extremely knowledgeable about your product.
