Use eBay To Send Traffic To Your Website

March 8th, 2013 5 comments

There a several ways that you can send traffic to your website from eBay. Before using any of these ways, be sure to check eBay’s policy for changes so you do not violate their policy.

One way to obtain traffic to your website through eBay is by using graphics or images hosted on your server. There are many commercial and free services you can use. You can also upload your graphics or images to eBay’s servers. However, visibility from the search engines will be greatly increased by using your own servers. The search engines can follow the links in your eBay listing to your website. Some search engines will also display messages in their status bar as to where the images are being loaded from. For example it might say “Loading Image From http://www.ABCDEF.com” or “Waiting For http://www.ABCDEF.com”. This is great exposure for your website.

When you register your account with eBay, use an email address that is associated with your website. For example, if your website is “http://www.ABCDEF.com”, you could use “sales@www.ABCDEF.com” as the email address associated with your eBay account. You can list this email address in the text of your listing only if it is the same one you used to register your account. This is in addition to the “Ask The Seller A Question” link.

The user id associated with your eBay account can also be a great way to direct traffic to your website. Even though eBay policy does not allow you to use your website address as your eBay id or user name, you can use a form of the website address. If your website is “http://www.ABCDEF.com”, you could use ABCDEF as your eBay user name.

Probably, one of the best ways to drive traffic to your website or internet store from eBay is by using an About Me Page. While you cannot offer non-eBay listings or merchandise on the About Me page, you can add a link to your website or internet store. eBay’s policy states that you cannot have the same identical item in your auctions as you have on your website either at the same price or at a different price. You can also not link to trading sites or other auction sites, or offer merchandise or information not permitted on eBay, or a website that offers items from several sellers. What you may do is link to your own website or internet store where you have items to trade, sell or purchase. Again, used correctly, this is a great way to use eBay to drive traffic to your website or internet store.

Trying one of these methods is sure to help drive traffic to your website or internet store. Remember to following eBay’s policy. Read their policy very carefully and check on it periodically for changes. Ignorance of their policy is not an excuse eBay accepts. If you violate their policy repeatedly, you will be banned from eBay.

Get Free Ebooks to Resell on Ebay!!!

February 9th, 2013 2 comments

With the spiraling eBay fees and competitive pricing, the last thing eBay ebook sellers want to worry about is buying new resalable content. However, there are many sources that you may not have thought about which provide you with free resalable ebooks that you can successfully add to your inventory. This article details just a few of them.

1) Ebay:- That’s right eBay is a great source to pick up free ebooks (OK they’re not quite free but very cheap). Many ebook sellers run auctions that start at 1p to attract customers. If nobody bids on these auctions you can pick up a very cheap resalable ebook.

Furthermore, some sellers run 1p ebook listings in their eBay store. That means that you can actually purchase the item as a Buy It Now for 1p and in some cases receives it instantly. Again another way to pick up a very cheap resalable ebook, courtesy of eBay. Do a search on eBay for “ebooks resell” or something similar, and then list them lowest priced first to see what you find.

2) Newsletters:- When you signed up for this newsletter I gave you two free ebooks. Some newsletters that I am currently a member of give me 5 free ebooks every week. I would recommend joining ebook related newsletters as not only do you receive valuable tips from that ebook seller, you also get free products to add to your eBay store. Have a browse through eBay for the top ebook sellers. If they have a newsletter joins it. It costs nothing and you are likely to benefit greatly.

3) Ebooks: – Usually when you buy a new ebook it contains links to many bonus ebooks with resell rights. Although you may have to pay for the first ebook, this is another way to get a plentiful collection of free resalable ebooks.

4) Online Forums:- Many users at online forums will give away free resalable ebooks or give away links that allow you to access free ebooks with resell rights. Just have a browse through the posts and see what you can find.

5) Ebook Websites:- Many websites that sell ebooks have a free download page. From this you can download free ebooks which quite often come with resell rights. Type “resell ebooks” into Google or any other major search engines, and have a browse through these websites. I am sure you will find more than enough ebooks to keep you going for a while.

Although free ebooks with resell rights are likely to be outdated in relation to the ones you pay for they are still a good way to bulk up your inventory at relatively little cost. The larger your store inventory is as an ebook seller, the more chance that you will get a sale. If you bulk up your inventory with free resalable ebooks which you then sell alongside the more expensive, up to date, resalable ebooks you are sure to enjoy increased success. Good Luck with your Ebook Sales!!!

Any tips on making money on ebay?

January 9th, 2013 12 comments

I am looking make some extra cash selling on ebay? AN extra £200-300 a month is fine for me.

How can I do that? And what PRODUCTS ARE ON HIGH DEMAND on ebay?
To Daniel D:

selling concert tickets and such. I thought you couldn’t do that anymore? you have to put your names on tickets when pre-ordering, therefore you can’t sell it to someone with a different name.

re: Danilel C
subodh fuck off you cunt!

Let me start by answering your last questions first. Ebay is the place to sell ANYTHING. Ok, so anything means "within reason" as Ebay doesn’t allow guns, animals or human body parts, but services is not outside the norm of Ebay sales.

The thing to remain focused upon is not whether Ebay is the place, but whether the service you want to sell can benefit from a "global" market. Ebay has an audience that covers the globe. it is not uncommon to have bidders from as far away as Europe, Russia and Austrailia. So, to put this in perspective, if you are selling graphics for the web, you have a wider market in Ebay. If, however, you are selling house painting, personal errand assistant or even your knowledge in Law, you must look for a more local or geographicaly close audience. This does not mean you shouldn’t use eBay, it only means that your auction pages should reflect this understanding.

Lastly, What products sell well on ebay and is there a way to get this information on a daily basis? This is a question I get an awful lot, both here on AllExperts and through email. The problem is that there is no cut and dried answer. What sells well for one may be a total disaster for another. In addition, consider this: If there is one item that sells well, and could make someone rich, do you really expect to be handed this information on a silver platter? Of course not – but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find something with which to do well on Ebay.

You can search on ebay for the items you’re selling, and you can find items by the number of bids they receive. Items that receive over a certain number of bids are called "Hot Items" and are marked with a small flame icon. Sort any category by clicking on the top of the bid column, and you instantly know which items in that category are receiving the most bids.

Can you sell the same item and get the same bids? This remains a mystery on Ebay. You should know that it is common for two sellers to list identical items – both of which are hot tickets – only to have one receive many high bids and the other get nothing. What is the difference? As I say, it’s a mystery.

The one thing I can tell new sellers is that you have to sell what you know. If you know a bit about depression glass, then I’d say that’s your area to start. If, however, you don’t know the difference between Mayfair and Cabbage Rose, then you’re going to have trouble with those items. Everyone knows a bit about something. You need to assess your own abilities and your own knowledge areas to find those items with which you will do best.

How to be successful at selling on ebay?

January 5th, 2013 2 comments

I have alot of name brand clothes that are too large to sell on ebay. I was wondering how to be successful and be able to get the most money out of them. I’ve been browsing and noticing one seller getting 30 and 40 dollars for used t-shirts. How do they do it?

Alright get ready for a long explanation:

1. A picture IS worth 1000 words: It’s old-fashioned, but people still like to see things before they buy them. For successful eBay selling, make sure any products you list on eBay are accompanied by professional quality photographs.

2. Do your eBay research: When selling on eBay, before you list a particular product, spend some time researching other similar products on eBay and following the bidding process. This will help you gauge the interest for your product and help you determine how much your product might be worth.

3. Learn all about shipping: Shipping is under the control of the eBay seller, but some methods of shipping are better than others when you’re selling on eBay. You want to find the best method of shipping for your product in terms of expense and reliability and then specify that shipping method in your eBay listing. (And don’t forget to include the shipping cost in your shipping information for potential buyers.)

4. Pay as much attention to the writing of your eBay listing as to your picture: For selling on eBay, you need a powerful eBay listing. And the trick to writing a strong eBay listing is to combine search engine friendly phrasing with concrete details about the product in a way that will entice people to bid on your product. Take the time to craft your eBay listing just as you would any ad.

5. Offer a full slate of payment options, including credit cards: The more payment options you, as an Ebay seller, offer prospective bidders, the more bidders your product will attract and the more successful your selling on eBay will be.

6. Focus on getting positive feedback first: Feedback really matters when you’re selling on eBay. If you have a consistent record of positive feedback, prospective buyers will both bid more often and be willing to pay higher prices. So you may want to hold back on placing higher priced products until you have a successful track record as an eBay seller established.

7. Be business-like: Act professionally, provide the kind of superior customer service that will build your reputation, and make sure that you’re following all the business rules that apply, such as registering your business and properly charging and remitting taxes. Selling on eBay is just like any other business; to become an eBay success, you need to follow the rules and provide the kind of customer satisfaction that will translate into increased eBay sales.

Ok I would like to become and Ebay Seller but I just need to know whats needed and how do I start. I have both an Ebay/Paypal account and I have bought something from Ebay before. But yea can anyone help?

How much is my computer worth?

November 18th, 2012 8 comments

my laptop is an Inspiron B130, 2yrs old, 512 MB, 60GB memory, its fast

the only problem with it, it occasionally crashes with PFN_list_corrupt errors, so the operating system isn’t running perfect. the computer is in excellent condition like new.

how much would my computer sell on Ebay, or other used computer dealers?
15 in display, dell

Best thing to do is to use the computer statistics in an ebay search for Closed or Completed Auctions. You have to log in to ebay first, then go to the advanced search page to get this option. Don’t focus on the brand so much as the statistics.

Consider the following:
If it’s 2 years old, does it still have warranty support? Yes, means more money.

If you’re selling it, then for security reasons, consider buying a new hard drive for it and selling it without anything installed – but with the CD’s that came with it. Note that it’s illegal to sell the CD’s separately from the machine they came with. And if you sell the computer with a Certificate of Authenticity sticker on it, then you have to give the new owner the CD’s or something it writing that says "I lost it" so they can get the CD’s from the manufacturer or microsoft. Otherwise, remove the CoA and destroy it. But you lose a lot of value that way.

Is there anything on it that doesn’t work, but YOU don’t care? Like the touchpad on a laptop, the hotkeys on the keyboard, or the sound? The new owner might care, and you should tell them up front, even if you don’t care about it. Try to get them working if you’re selling it with everything installed.

What software will you give them, and do you still have the installers or CD’s they came from? Make a list and put it on the ebay sales page – or take screenshots of the All Programs menu, and post that. The more info you give a buyer the more they will be willing to pay for it on ebay.

——–
Not knowing any real details about it, I’d say it’s in the range of $300. That assumes the new owner will fix whatever problems it has for about $150 after they buy it. So make your reserve 275, and your buy it now 400. Good luck!

What are the best items to sell on ebay?

November 6th, 2012 5 comments

What has a high value now that wasn’t 5 years ago or longer.

Please help im new to ebay

As the one answerer said – go to ebay and do an advanced search to search "only ended items" and look at different categories and you can pretty much see right away what sells and what doesn’t.

Shipping cost has a lot to do with perceived value..so make sure you know your shipping cost and total costs against what it would cost for the person to get it locally.

Used electronics seem to be hot..especially laptops..computer people are not afraid to order off the computer – and online sales are growing despite the recession…

I was looking for Wonder Woman stuff for my daughter and it was SOOOO expensive..and things were always being bid on…if you’re going to do collectibles..make sure you examine what collectibles are hot and what’s not..there’s a lot of things people call "collectibles" that are junk – and there’s a lot that have a high value – but the person who might buy it isn’t looking on ebay or hasn’t seen the ad..and since you’d have to keep the ad up for a while, it might not be cost effective to sell it on ebay. You want things that have a large audience. Or have a very very targeted marketing program supplemented by website advertising, PPC, etc. etc.

Auto stuff has picked up over the years..and that category has grown…

I also bet there’s some ebay statistics on the web with best selling categories, highest growth, etc.

Remember that advertising outside of ebay in the search engiens can also have a great deal to do with your level of success.

Start with looking at completed Ebay sales and investigating sales from that point of view…

September 20th, 2012 2 comments

I’ve listed several expensive Beatles records for sale on eBay but when I searched for them, they don’t show up on the main result pages, not even when I narrowed down the search. How can I fix this?

Items recently listed can take up to 12 or more hours to appear under the genreal search option.

Basic Step to Success on Ebay Selling – Marketing Research

June 16th, 2012 No comments

Market research – Yes that right! This is the first step, you need to research your market may be I would call “spy” before start selling. You should know what average price on the market, how popular for the product, how many competition seller are there. You may need some tools if you have a lot of product and have a huge selling per month. But you can use basic tool on eBay like watcher in my eBay panel and Advance search, it’s enough! One more tools is your feeling.

Find keywords and related

Ok now start Basic marketing research go to eBay click on advance search on the top right. I make an example I would like to sell an Xbox ok now I enter Xbox and click on search. Then see the results you will see relate keywords make note of that. It very important keywords is most of how to your customers found your products. Example for Xbox relates keywords is Xbox console, Xbox system, Xbox Game, Xbox 360 system etc. Remember keywords are the mostly important for online auction selling.

Find categories

Second chance how do they find your production is categories on your listing if you would like to sell Xbox but you list your product in shirts categories nobody would buy it at all. You have to choose your product to match with your categories before list your items, it the one of the best way to aim at the buyer target. To find categories form the first step on search result page you will see the suggest category by automatically. Then use one of category that you think it mostly match with your products. For Example if want to sell Xbox system I will sell at Video Games> Systems. If I want to sell Xbox wireless controller I will sell at Video Games> Accessories categories.

Find competitor

Select about 2-5 seller for spy and learn from they strategies Do not directly copy you will not make any deal if you follow they strategies because many of reason like feedback may be that you do it will help them to make more selling because customers has same product to compare. You should make you own way but learn from them use strong side and improve weakness side. Ok what you should really do find production to same to you or similar from two group of seller first from power seller and one seller that have a lot of bidder then watch of they listing product. From power seller you would watch time of listing, listing period like 3 days 7 days that upon product, listing frequency, start price, average ending price, picture etc. From many of bidder seller you would suggest how could do they bring many bidder to they auctions mostly is from cutting price but not all, some make free shipping etc. Use that strategies with power seller strategies and mix it together. If you can’t not find any relate seller that similar with your product you may lucky if you are the first man of the market and customers want you product it will be the incredible fortune.

Calculating

After you find 3 things for now you would got a lot of information. And now start calculation how much for buy and sell price. Don’t for get eBay listing Fee and Final Fee. Shipping price, payment methods and transaction fee. I highly recommended to using Paypal for major accept payment you would accept cashier’s check and money order for some of buyer. You may say transaction Fee and auctions listing Fee is a bit of money Yes, you right but imagine if you have a lot of sell it will not a bit of money at all all of any fee is important calculate it carefully.

Goal and Analytic

Plan your Goal before you start selling. How many products you will sell per weeks or month how much for profit per each, per month analyze from information that you got before. Then start selling be follow your plan and enjoy.
