What and why should I sell on eBay to increase my feedback score rapidly and become a eBay Powerseller?
Hi. I am a new eBayer. But I wanna be a powerseller as well as increase my feedback score rapidly. I wanna know what I should sell the buyers will buy and leave feedback. I also wanna know how to be a powerseller? What are the requirenment? Thanks

It took me 7 months from the time I started using eBay to become a PowerSeller. The fastest way to become a PowerSeller IMO is to sell a large amount of inexpensive items.

There are many different levels of PowerSeller status. At the bottom of the PowerSeller food chain is bronze. To be a bronze PowerSeller, you need to sell at least 100 items a month or make at least $1,000 a month for 3 consecutive months. It’s really not hard to do but it does take a lot of work.

If you have zero feedback currently, the fastest way to increase your feedback is by buying a lot of cheap items from eBay. By cheap, I meant items that cost you no more than $1 for both the item and the shipping combined. I don’t recommend trying to sell until you have at least 10 positive feedback from buying. That will cost you a grand total of $10.

You have to understand that to be a PowerSeller means that you’ll be making eBay your business. It took me a lot of 8 hour days shipping small items to get me where I am today. It also took a significant investment in inventory.

There is not one magic product that can make everyone an eBay PowerSeller. It’s best if you specialize in selling a product that you know a lot about. This will save you tons of headaches when answering potential customers questions about your items. You’ll also need to find a wholesaler to buy the item from at a price low enough to be able to resale it for a profit. This is one of the hardest things involved with starting a successful eBay business.

Foreclosures? Bankrupt? Can you give me your opionion?

Well, I have a story to illustrate my point:

I’m an ebay powerseller in Los Angeles and often do cosignments. I went to a house today in the Imperial Valley, an area with some of the highest foreclosure rates in the country, to liquidize some assets. The owner was bankrupt real estate agency owner. The vestiges of his former consumption were all around me and I was the one who would have to put them for sale. He bought his house 2 years ago for $1.8 million and he put in another $200,000 for a patio and a volleybowl court. The bank will probably get around $800,000 for it.

The eeriest thing was the yard and patio. He had begun work on the yard and the patio was almost finished, but you could tell work had seized suddenly when the market plunged. There were a few left-over pallets of brick (expensive, made to look like vintage re-used 19th century bricks he had had sent from Virginia. And he was trying to sell them back to the brickyard for anything he could get for them.

So, what did this guy wanted me put for sale:

– Two SUV’s (one Land Rover and one around 50k each).
– Two sports cars (Mazda’s)
– 3 ATV’s (q Yamaha Rhino, 2 Predator’s)
– 2 dirt bikes.
– 2 Toy Haulers for the ATV’s and Dirt Bikes.
– A 22′ yacht.
– A 4K-5K Marine GPS/Radar system for the yacht that never got to be installed.
– A Mac Pro Computer, a heavy-duty computing system often used by film companies and the like to make movies worth around 5K. Nobody in their right mind would buy this as a home computer.
– A 8K finely crafted bar with granite insets… which was in a bare-floor and walls garage with a Fooze-ball, Air Hockey and Pool Tables.
– A tractor. Yes, like the kind you would find in a farm. This guy paid 22K for a tractor and attachments to help him clear a backyard half the size of a football field.
– Dozens of other knick knacks.

I couldn’t list half of this stuff because he owed more on it than it would sell for. He also had an 40′ RV, which is going to be his new home now.

To answer your question,

They were all responsible: Banks, Agents, Homeowners. They were greedy and thought that the market would go up forever. And it blew up in their faces big time. Banks that lend heavily in high-risk loans are dwingdling near bankrupcy, Real Estate agents are unemployed and Homeowners are in foreclosure. And I’m not the least bit sad about it.

How to become Ebay Powerseller?

July 17th, 2012 1 comment

My goal is to be a ebay powerseller. I searched online for items of what to sell on Ebay all I come up with is Garage sales. Does anyone have any tips on finding drop shippers or wholesalers or know items i can buy on craigslist and resale on Ebay? or just tips in general? my ebay user ID is "shema60619" any advice or leads will be appreciated.

You need to build your feedback. You need to have a certain amount of feedback first.

Sell more things around the house and keep your feedback up.

You can look for dropshippers but there’s a reason people don’t use them. Sell what you know. I sell used and vintage clothing and I’m an ebay powerseller.

Be registered with eBay for at least 90 days.
Have an account in good standing.
Maintain a positive Feedback of 98% or higher over the past 12 months.
Follow all eBay policies.
Have a minimum of 100 transactions and $3,000 in sales with US buyers over the past 12 months.
Receive at least a 4.60 average from US buyers across all 4 detailed seller ratings (DSRs).
For all transactions with US buyers, have no more than 1.00% of transactions with low DSRs (1s or 2s) on item as described, and a maximum of 2.00% of low DSRs on communication, shipping time, and shipping and handling charges.
For all transactions with US buyers, have no more than 1.00% of transactions result in opened eBay Buyer Protection and PayPal Buyer Protection cases, and no more than 0.30% of transactions result in closed cases without seller resolution.

Alternative to Ebay – Niche!

May 3rd, 2012 No comments

I have been an Ebay powerseller for a number of years and have bought and sold thousands of items on ebay. But as a seller, one of the drawbacks we find with Ebay is the high cost of their fees. It is true that ebay does allow eBay Store owners can reduce their fees by listing with fixed price formats, but still the fees will take quite a chunk out of your profits.

One problem / advantage is that Ebay rules the online auction market and has milliions of visitors each and every day. You must use ebay if you want massive amounts of traffic, high bidding wars, ludicrus fees, megolithic dominance and undeniable sales. The fees on ebay should be a deterant to anyone who wants start up a business selling on online auctions, but the amount of customers coming through your virtual storefront seem to never end.

It may sound like I am promoting ebay, and I am!  Anyone with half a brain should be selling on ebay.  NO doubt about that.  BUT you also need to supplement your income with alternative sources, Amazon, Bonanzle, RoboBomb, Bidtopia are all ideal resources for additional sales and profit.  What if ebay decides to change more rules… they will… what if those rules do not work well with your business?  You could be in trouble.  Dont let that happen.  Get other outlets for sales and start today.

My favorite free auction site is RoboBomb.com, the potential of this site is HUGE! All fees are optional. RoboBomb really needs more sellers and the buyers will be piling up. RoboBomb has a growing Social Network through Myspace, Facebook and YouTube.  This site will grow. Get into it now and reap the benefits of a exploding resource!

Ebay sales taking off, but I’m getting burnt out! Need tips on maximizing productivity and minimizing time.

My ebay business is doing really well, but I’m going crazy with all of the work it entails. I just moved to a new city so I don’t really know anyone that can help me out, so I’m having to do all of the work myself (I’m actually able to do this full-time).

Emailing customers back is a time-consuming chore! Is there a way I can reduce the amount of time to respond to people? Right now, I developed a basic HTML webpage that has form letters I can use or slightly modify.

Any advice on making things more efficient? I’m getting really frazzled and it’s basically consuming my whole life right now so any tips would help!

Thanks!

Are you using SMP (Selling Manager Pro)? You can edit and automate many email templates and other functions, eg – when you mark an item as ‘Payment Received’ or ‘Item Posted’ you can set SMP to email the buyer automatically. Leave positive feedback automatically when same is received. Automate listing times.

Answering questions from buyers is a bit tricky as each question is unique and requires a tailor-made response. But you could add a list of FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) which might cut down a bit.

Think about what you’re listing and selling. Without knowing what you sell, it’s a bit of general advice, but concentrate on the items that are the most popular and return the most profit. Have a look at your sales reports in your Ebay subscriptions and see what is selling the best. Also look at the days and time of day that you get the most sales, then tailor your listings to those days and times to maximise your sales.

Consider using third party software such as Blackthorne – they have good listing templates, you can schedule it to upload listings without having to pay Ebay a scheduled listing fee for each listing, and they have email templates and heaps of other features. It costs per month, but you may find it well worth it.

I’m an Ebay powerseller and online retailer and it consumes my whole life too!

Ebay Store Guide

November 7th, 2011 No comments

There are a couple of small identified positive aspects of becoming a PowerSeller that only those who have knowledgeable them can tell you about. 1 of these positive aspects, for example, is that you can come to be qualified for discounted healthcare coverage by way of the programs that eBay is involved in. A further small identified benefit is receiving preferred client service and e-mail assistance from eBays staff. If you reach a Platinum level of PowerSeller status you will even get your own eBay account representative whose job will be to get familiarized with your account, support you troubleshoot challenges, and support you tweak your selling techniques for optimal sales.

In order to come to be a Bronze PowerSeller (which is the lowest level of PowerSeller and a marvelous aim to shoot for!) you have to typical more than $1,000 per month in sales more than the course of a 90 day period. This might possibly sound like a lot, but when you comprehend that you only have to have to do $1,000 in gross sales it becomes exceptionally realistic. Just feel, if you sell $1,000 worth of goods per month and only make $100 profit you will nonetheless be hitting the mark! The monthly aim has absolutely nothing to do with your bottomline earnings, only your gross sales – producing it considerably a lot easier to acheive PowerSeller status than you could possibly feel! Other specifications incorporate at least a 98% overrall client feedback satisfaction rating, and no violations of eBay policies or guidelines. You have to also have your seller account fees paid up to date and typical at least 4 transactions per month.

A couple of way more positive aspects incorporate the look of an eBay PowerSeller icon subsequent to your username and in the Meet The Seller section of all of your auction listings. (This icons look can be turned off if you wish). The look of this rather simple icon can basically enhance your sales when other eBay members see that you are a trustworthy and properly respected PowerSeller who abides by eBay rules and regulations. So what are you waiting for I recommend taping a note to your monitor that says I will be a PowerSeller in 90 days! You will be shocked how convenient it is to reach your objectives when you have set them.

Aside from the couple of couple of positive aspects mentioned here, take a couple of minutes to check out the way more information and facts on the eBay auction web-site itself. Here are some exceptionally valuable links containing way more zero cost information and facts in regards to not only positive aspects of the PowerSeller plan, but also detailing the similar specifications that I mentioned in this post.
