If i sell something on ebay do i receive the money before i ship the item ?
I’m selling a computer on ebay and i’m offering free shipping on it but i need the money from selling the computer in order to ship it for free first, i know paypal makes you wait a couple days to transfer the money to your bank account so i was just wondering how all this works, thanks
Yes, the seller usually waits until the money is safely in their account before shipping.
There are also many varieties of scams that work around this – they try and pay with a fake or hacked Paypal account, they pay using a forged cashier’s check, etc. I am sure you are aware of these – if not, get familiar with them real fast!
