3 Key Internet Business Start Up Ideas – Without a Website

February 25th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

A great deal of money has been made by online entrepreneurs who have implemented these 3 highly successful business models that can help you create income online without having to invest a single a cent in website design, hosting, optimizing or website maintenance.

1. Affiliate Marketing

This is how to set yourself up as an affiliate marketer

1. Becoming an Affiliate

Firstly you need to sign up as an affiliate with individual companies or affiliate networks that represent several companies.

These affiliate networks usually have a wide range of products and services to choose from and offer everything from e-books to networking products to sell.

They also administer your account in such a way as to provide you with up to date earning and traffic statistics.

2. Get Products and Services to Sell

Next you need to identify the products or companies whose products you would like to promote.

You can do this by either choosing the most popular, hottest selling products or the ones that you have an interest in or are knowledgeable about.

3. Selling and Marketing

Once you’ve got your unique affiliate link, which you’ll get from the affiliate network, for each product that you want to sell you need to start getting it all over the internet.

This link can then be promoted by,

1. advertising it

One of the most effective and most popular advertising models involves you setting up a Google Adwords account

You then purchase pay-per-click keywords on which determine when, where and how often your Google Adsense ads appear all over the internet.

Your affiliate tracking code will be embedded in the Adsense link which will send buyers directly to the affiliate merchant.

You will then earn commission on each sale made.

This is the best way of getting massive targetted traffic to the merchant’s site where your prospects will hopefully make a purchase.

However, whilst you may be generating traffic don’t forget that each click your ad gets costs you money and if you are spending more on Adwords advertising than you are generating in commission you will be out of pocket soon.
2. having it included in someone else’s website

3. using it in an e-mail newsletter – direct marketing

2. Start Selling on eBay
eBay is the hottest e-commerce site on the web today, and for good reason…

* More than 2 million people visit eBay.com every single day, spending an

average of two hours navigating through eBay’s pages and listings

* More than $1,000 in sales happen on eBay every single second

* 72% of eBay users have incomes in excess of $50,000 per year–so they come ready to spend!

And while those listings will cost you only pennies to place on eBay’s pages, you gain immediate access to millions of buyers who are looking for items just like yours.
3. Start Selling on Purpose Built Websites
One of the easiest ways of setting up an online business is to buy into a ready made store front that will be populated with thousands of digital products and services all embedded with your unique affiliate tracking code

So everytime a purchase is made from your site you are credited with the commission.

So there you have it, employ one or all three methods to launch a legitimate and sustainable online business

Anyone have ideas on how to advertise my handyman business on the internet without spending a lot of money?
I have a Handyman Business in Kansas City and have been using Craig’s List for two years to advertise but they have gotten really good at flagging my ad. I need to start advertising my ad so I can be found on the internet search engines but my spending budget is tight. I am a accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. I think this helps people trust me a little more since their are a lot of unscrupulous people in my line of work, but other than people finding me on their web site by searching my business name JWhandyman Services LLC. Their website doesn’t really do anything for advertising. I also have a web site jwhandymanservicellc.com but I don’t think anyone can find it on the internet either. I also use Google free listing but it rarely pops up during a search. Does anyone have Any ideas on how to get people to see my listing on the internet without spending a bunch on money? Where would you look for a handyman if you needed one?

I suggest you to do social bookmarking via twitter, facebook, stumbleupon etc, it would help you for your business and it does not need a lot of money.

I will try not to smash my own keyboard while answering your question(s).

People use Google when looking for things. It doesn’t matter what they’re looking for – Google is their first approach, no matter what it comes to. It’s a fact – I firmly believe you do it yourself.

The most effective way of getting traffic to a website without spending a dime is Search Engine Optimization, or SEO as some might call it. Google it.

    Dear James "the Handyman",

    THE SMARTEST MOVE

Welcome to search engine optimization (SEO).

Merely do what search engines expect you to do. Read the overlooked recommendations directly suggested by Google itself in its handbook called "Google SEO Starter Guide" at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35291

I strongly advise you to read the best answer I gave in Yahoo Answers to the question "How can I improve my website?" at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkQwsEGaTvCP58LfiEY0DKLty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20101217234245AAno0Ts which discusses how to properly

    —track activity in your site;
    —make search engines aware of your site;
    —implement SEO strategies in accordance with search engines’ by-laws;
    —reach people locally; and
    —leverage social media influence;

    …among other possible visibility actions.

Other moves below are just complementary actions you can undertake in parallel.

    BUT, WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT?

Discover what people are looking for online. The closer you can address their need, the more leads you will get. To help you in this regard, review the list of keywords below (I’ve shortened it) that people type in search engines in relation to "handyman services".

    handyman services
    handyman service
    home handyman
    handyman site
    handyman hardware
    handyman repair
    handyman reviews
    handyman rates
    handyman insurance
    cheap handyman
    (…)

    FREE LOCAL/REGIONAL ADVERTISING SITES

You’ve already been using Craig’s List, so here are other free local and regional classified sites (in alphabetical order)—this is not an exhaustive list but the sites that I’ve used or am still using:

    http://www.backpage.com
    http://www.beatyourprice.com
    http://www.bonanzle.com
    http://www.ebayclassifieds.com (formerly http://www.kijiji.com)
    http://www.epage.com
    http://www.half.ebay.com (formerly http://www.half.com)
    http://www.hoobly.com
    http://www.ioffer.com
    http://www.livesimon.com
    http://www.olx.com
    http://www.oodle.com
    http://www.usfreeads.com
    http://www.webcosmo.com

Craig’s List is probably the most renowned classifieds site, but those are valid too.

IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE IN GOOGLE PLACES

Edit your business information to add (in a user-readable way) keywords people are likely to look for to find a handyman close to their home. Leave no stone unturned. Every sentence should be relevant to that regard is you want search engines to properly associate your business profile to search queries.

FREE INSTANT $75 GOOGLE ADWORDS VOUCHER

Furthermore, you can free quality advertising by merely asking Google to try Google AdWords for free and they will kindly send you a $75 voucher upon verification of your email address. To do so, go to https://services.google.com/fb/forms/adwordscoupon/

I ran a Handyman Business for several years. I found the internet also to be unreliable and not very cost effective. I printed off a bunch of cards which had my web address included and dropped some cards off at local Real Estate and Hardware Stores. I also found that a small ad, 2 to 3 lines that’s all, in the local paper, in the classifieds got good results but you need to have it in every week, the Saturday edition got the best results. Another thing I did was to do a letterbox flier once a month about 1000 homes and keep track of the streets done. The internet, I found, supported credibility more than anything. Doing good work and encouraging customers to refer people generated, by far, the most business. I hope this helps.
