Ebay – The Slow Season & Why Patience is a Virtue

Went to a Yankee – Red Sox game last night and it was the second time I went to a game and didn’t get to see my favorite player….so I started thinking about trying to be patient and how that also relates to ebay and sales.

Sorry I never replied to your comment! I just got a new Droid phone and I don’t have a clue how to take vids and upload them! It took me forever to figure it out w/ my camera! I’m horrible at figuring out technology! Good luck! You can probably find a video on YT of how to upload it! Good luck! Heather

I really didn’t know where to start the bidding at, but I thought $50 was fair. The quality of the pins and the custom matting of them was why I started it that high. Sometimes you just have to guess. It’s probably worth more, but I made a nice profit. Sometimes I google things or look in books to find prices. A store is only good if you have a lot of inventory, like over 100 items. And auctions are just fun b/c sometimes the prices can really go high! TFW, Heather

Yeah, my husband wasn’t happy they tore down Yankee Stadium either. But at least before they tore it down, I found out you could take a tour of it and I surprised him w/ tickets. We got to go in the press box, the locker room and we even got to sit in the dugout. It was fantastic and we took a ton of pics. Amazing to think we stood where all the greats once stood!

@ThePaperCastle The only thing good about Boston is Fenway. Im still upset that they tore down the house that Ruth Built. I love the fact that you can close your eyes and think about the Babe standing at the plate and say that happened right here.

Yeah, you gotta get rid of the old school ebay mentality….especially since they keep screwing us out of more and more money every other day! And someone once told me that they saw some research saying that some buyers don’t even look at $.99 items b/c they automatically think they’re low quality. Not sure if it’s true or not, but you need to make a few dollars after doing all that work.

I use a Canon PowerShot S90 right now. The only thing I don’t like is that it won’t auto focus between standard and macro. Once I pick one or the other, that’s it. But it’s still a LOT better than my old camera. I think they cost around $500, but it was a gift, so I don’t really know for sure. Hope that helps! Heather

I know. My husband gets frustrated a little when he sees my storage room in the basement full of stuff. He keeps asking “why don’t you sell that?” I usually do, it just takes time. And he says I’m the impatient one…lol!
