Selling a item on ebay?

Right now, I have a iPod Touch on sale at ebay.

Here’s the question

I put the starting bid at $0.99, let’s say other people put it to $10. Of course I don’t want to sel my iPod Touch for $10, is it possible I decline the bid? Like not selling it to him for $10?

So, if you wanted $100, why didn’t you put the starting bid at $100 or use a reserve?

By listing it at $.99, you have left your self open to someone winning for that amount. Even with 2 bidders, it could end at $10. And yes, if someone wins, you are supposed to ship it for the winning bid.

If you refuse to deliver, the buyer will report you and you can get kicked off of eBay.
eBay will tolerate you cancelling the auction (as long as it’s 12 hours or more to go) and relisting ONCE.

No, if you did not set a reserve price, it would be unethical to decline to sell it at the final price. It would also be breaking the eBay terms of service, and breaking a contract.

Something like an iPod touch is a commonly wanted item, though, and the bids should go to fair market value, whatever that is.

If you really would not accept less than, say $40 for your item, then set the start price at $40.
