How to deal with a questionable eBay seller?
I actually asked a question relating to this seller a while ago, but some new details have come up and I think they’re important.
On September 22, I made a purchase from this seller. On September 25, I sent an email asking a question about the status of the item, since she had been removed from eBay as a seller (which was a red flag to me). She claimed that my order was still ok and that it had already shipped. I noted the fact that I never received an email from USPS (who allegedly shipped my item) saying a package had been shipped to me from her. When I emailed her again on October 1, I asked for a tracking number, and she asked me for my user ID so she could check, and claimed that small parcels doesn’t have tracking. I sent her my ID and never got a response. I sent another email on October 7, saying that I was worried about my package and asked again for a tracking number. Again, she asked for my user ID: I sent it to her, and again, no response. I sent her one final email on October 23, which was 20 business days since the actual purchase, stating that I was starting to think that the package was never going to show at all, and this was when she finally admitted that when she was off of eBay for that weekend, all her sales data was lost and she never shipped the item. When she asked me if I wanted her to send me another via priority mail, I declined and politely asked for a refund.
After that last email asking for the refund, I never heard from her again. Do you think I would be able to file against her through PayPal and/or eBay and get my money back, especially since she has no evidence that she shipped the item and that I ever received it?
P.S. I saved all emails, including the ones I got when I first purchased the item and subsequent emails between the seller and myself.
I decided to file a non-receipt dispute with the seller and see how that goes. If she doesn’t respond and I escalate to a claim, is there any way I can forward emails to PayPal?
You should file a dispute through PayPal’s "Resolution Center" right away. You can do so for up to 45 days, but it’s safe to assume the seller is not going to ship the item or refund your money. They got suspended from eBay for a reason.
After filing your dispute, you can either escalate it right away, or wait a few days to see if she will refund you. If it were me, I’d probably escalate it right away, since she already lied to you once.
I think u can file through either try paypal first tho. Had it happen to me too! depends on how much your item was . mine was 22.50 never got a refund. so Check with paypal. but deffentally file against them. Good luck 🙂

ebay and paypal
try going through ebay and paypal if neither of them will help you try your credit card registered as sometimes they will be more help. I got scammed by a woman who then gave me multiple bad feedback, but she never shipped my stuff, said she had done so twice came back once and she shipped with insurance second time around, never showed up.. she disappeared.. end of story.. do NOT wait. jsut do a charge back one way or the other.
