I have two eBay accounts. I sell regular stuff on one and sexually oriented stuff on the other. I have twice as many sales on the second one than I do the regular one.

People will buy anything. Ebay is proof of that. Sexually oriented items just sell better.

I need to sell some stuff on ebay but i wont be able to until after the holidays. I’m assuming the buying percentage drops off after christmas eve. If so, when is a good month to start an ebay store?

Feb
people slow down with their buying in January, however, they do pick right back up in Feb. Plus, think about if you go ahead and put it up after the holidays, people like to buy next years xmas early because then its taken care of and its cheaper.

But Feb is when the buying goes up back to normal. 🙂

Hoping to move abroad soon and want to sell most of my stuff. Ebay is a really slow process so I don’t want to sell them on a betting site. Other than a garage sale, which isn’t going to happen, what else could I consider, meaning not sly remarks 🙂 Just what other sites I could get quick cash back. It will cost me more to transport these things, than just buying them in the country. TV, HIFI system, laptop, dvd player, so yeah mainly electrical. I know I won’t get much for them but am hoping to get the best deal possible. The furniture I’m giving to friends. Thank you

Craigslist.

I was raised in church and basically forced to go. Well after straying and reviewing all the options, I’m back. lol. So, I closed my eyes and said a little prayer and told God I was all in. I have never really stopped praying, prayed every night and while driving and stuff all through life but didn’t have faith. So since I rededicated my life, I have prayed on a few topics and just left it to the lord. Not trying to predict the outcome myself. He has came through every time. It’s making me tear up because it’s like he will control everything if I ask him. Well last night I had some stuff weighting me down about bills and money and stuff. I just told him that I knew he would take care of me and he has got me through 30 years of life so far. I said I just leave it in your hands. Show me what to do and I’ll do it. I sell stuff on ebay and craigslist and it’s been real slow, well I stopped worrying and slept peaceful and woke up and have been answering calls and emails all day. He has sent me almost $500 worth of sales in about 8 hours today. Is this for real, it seems like everyone would do it. I just want to tell people how he’s blessing me. I’ve heard people say "We are blessed" and now I feel that way. Praise God….
Yea, I may have not explained it all. I am aware that everyday can’t be a walk in the park. Just one that is not about me making money, for instance my father has not been working. Not because he can’t find a job but he got lazy for a while. After praying on it, 2 weeks later he made a bold move and went to work for a large company out of state. Lord knew it was time.

It’s just that easy…..when you give it all back.

Welcome Home

We are moving out of state in one week, and our house is basically just as full as it was 2 months ago. We have tried to have a "moving sale" (one person showed up after 2 days of selling), advertised my butt off on Craigslist.org, the local paper,ebay, and priced everything uber cheap to sell… but nothing. We have had alot of calls, but of course we wait around and no one ever shows up.

I was thinking of driving to my mothers home 20 miles away tomorrow (Sunday) to try and sell, but I am not prepared, I would have to wake up at 4am to set up, and have heard that Sundays are pretty slow selling days.

At this point I am feeling pretty lost, my condo doesn’t allow moving sales, so I can’t even put up signs, and I don’t know anyone in the area with a yard to do a garage sale there.

Any help on how to sell my stuff would be appreciated!

If all else fails you could gather up all you can’t sell but don’t want and bag it up and donate to the Salvation Army or places that take donations. Get a receipt for it and you can claim that amount on your taxes. You would be surprised how much it adds up and I know a family member that does this each year so basically you still get your money.

Does being early or middle or late in the month affect your sales greatly? I’ve noticed during the middle of the month it’s kinda slow but I don’t have enough experience to proof this myself.

its kind of amazing about auction closing times. We have a few resources on our site for tools that show you the best days and times to close auctions for items. Who would have thought that closing an auction on Wed at 11:30 pm would yield a higher price than Fridays at noon? Its kind of creepy but pretty cool as well.
