Gold prices in India are at record highs. More investors are entering the gold markets trying to hedge against rising inflation while the traditional gold jewelry markets are on the decline.

In India, gold increased to a record high of about $497 per 10 grams following a global surge. This has triggered purchases from investors looking to protect themselves against rising inflation while scaring traditional consumers away from the markets.

In New Delhi’s jewelry market of Karol Bagh, the shopkeepers are worried about losing their long-time customers whose numbers have dwindled following a prolonged increase in the price of gold.

[Rakesh Saraf, Gold Society of Delhi]:
“There are more investors in the market and they are buying bullion bars and less of jewelry sale is there. Only a compulsive (compulsory) buying is there in the market where there is a marriage in the family and you have to buy.”

India is the world’s largest consumer of gold, and for centuries, gold has held an allure for Indian women.

It also forms an integral part of an Indian wedding where parents of the bride give their daughter gold jewelry as her dowry and a means of financial security.

But the high prices at the moment are worrying some traditional consumers.

[Swati Malhotra, Jewelry Buyer]:
“They are increasing so high I was thinking that when my son will grow up how will I manage his marriage? So I am investing right now for him.”

[Monica Suri, Jewelry Buyer]:
“Right now we are postponing that our budget is not so much that we can buy right now, let us see.”

Gold traditionally benefits from a weak dollar, times of political and economic uncertainty, and periods of rising inflation. Prices have doubled since the lows of 2008.

Successful eBay business (any business as a matter of fact) is not built on wild guesses and approximations; successful business is built on facts, solid numbers and proven strategies. Unfortunately a lot of people that are trying to build eBay business forget about this or never learn in the first place and loose time and money as a result.
In this video you will learn:
• How to build your eBay business on solid facts and proven strategies that is guaranteed to make you money
• How to find emerging hot products to sell on eBay
• Discover what to sell and how to sell on eBay to boost your profits 25%-50%
• How to sell more products more often
• How to piggyback off your competitors to make more money from every auction
Essentially eBay is nothing but a giant search engine where people use keywords to search for stuff to buy and there are a lot of factors that influence how much money you’re going to make from an auction.
In order to have profitable eBay business you need:
• Right product
Pick right product that will sell and will make you profit – if you choose a product with tiny profit margin that few people want to buy, how do you expect to make money selling it on a regular basis?
• Product you can get at wholesale price
Pick a product that you can get at wholesale price – yes, you might think that iPad is a HOT product to sell on eBay but you can’t get it at wholesale price unless you can afford to spend several hundred thousand dollars on inventory, so iPad is NOT HOT product for your business.
• Great sales copy and description
Great sales copy and description — what features and benefits are important and will trigger people to bid and buy from you, should you offer free shipping, alternative payment options, money back guarantee?
• Right timing
Right day and time to start and end auction, when maximum amount of buyers spend the most
• Right category
Right category to get maximum amount of traffic/visitors
• Right starting price
Most profitable price to start so you cut down your eBay fees, but not the profit
• Right keywords
Right keywords and phrases buyers use to search, because if they can’t find your listings, they can’t bid on them
• Competition
How many serious players are there in your market and how big is your market, are you competing with hundreds of sellers with established customer base or is it just few occasional ones and you can easily be the TOP seller in the category?
• Listing features
What listing features are worth paying to get more attention, and what features is waste of money?
• How much you can make
How much money can you make selling a product? At the end of the day everything that matters is how much money you can put in your pocket so you can buy yourself or the loved ones nice and shiny things.
These are the questions you need to answer if you want make serious money on eBay and you can’t answer them without eBay research.

eBay selling tips- eBay research

January 8th, 2012 2 comments

http://www.powerofcomparison.com/terapeak-review/
In this video you will learn how to make more money on eBay by spotting opportunities to sell your products at higher prices using International research.
Terapeak International research gives you ability easily research sales information for any product across six eBay sites. This may identify opportunities where there are price differences in foreign markets.
For example if I would sell Burton Snowboards, after performing search using International research module I could easily identify profitable markets and see price differences that would allow me to make more money on every listing.
Looking at our example of “Burton Snowboards” you could see that Australia is highly attractive market for this type of products. Average end price is $166 compared to $96 for eBay.com and sell-through is 68% compared to 31% for eBay.com which means that you have twice more chances to sell Burton snowboard and make $70 more dollars per item if you would list and sell it on eBay Australia.
At the same time international research save you time and money by quickly identifying unprofitable and risky markets — for example even average end price on eBay Germany is about $20 higher than on eBay.com, sell-through rate is only 6% which means that you would have really hard time selling “Burton snowboards” there.
By looking at “Buyer Country Sales Distribution” you could see countries where buyers are located and offer special shipping prices so buyers from those locations have incentive to bid on your auctions.
