What should i sell on ebay? Is there a free coaching service that will give me the goods?

all i need to know are the results of what is selling on ebay. Most of the coaching services that provide this information cost money.

Honestly…

I use a wholesaler known as salehoo, and to be honest, they’re got pretty damn good deals.

If you want to look at their site and see some of the products, you can read more about them and sign up here:

For example:

I can buy a Sony Ericsson W910 cell phone for $282.95, and RE-sell it on ebay for $415 or so (give or take)..that’s about $130 PROFIT from one single item.

Um, off the top of my head, some OTHER things you can on there for wholesale are Gucci Sunglasses, Cell phones, Yes London Jeans, PS3’s, psps and a HECK of alot more!

Anyways, I won’t bore you with the fine details here, I talk about that, and give a link to my supplier in my article here:

Check it out, let me know what you think, and good luck! 🙂

I’ve often wondered why people pay to sell stuff on eBay, when it’s free to sell on Y, so why? Then there are other "free" sites, like Craigslist.com which will provide you with all sorts of infromation if you check it out.

    Yes I said FREE!!

You do have to pay to sell, but thats business, just like buying stocks, you got to spend money to make money, but it depends on what kind you’re selling, something big is more money, and something small, like a shirt or a helmet, is cheaper. you can also try kijiji, the link is below.

Ebay has a list of "what’s hot" items on the front home page.

As far as just picking something and selling it…it may work, but right now mostly powersellers and items that are in BIG demand are the only selling things.

#1. Feedback has a lot to do with selling. You need to build up your reputation on ebay.
#2. You don’t pay ebay monthly, you pay for the listing and final value fees. (It varies on how much your item is)
#3. Laptops, mp3/mp4 players, and electronics are ALWAYS hot sellers.

There is a bunch of free ebay tools you can google. Check out http://www.auctiva.com *they offer the best free tools and have tons of articles*.

Please read up on ebay scams before you just start selling. There are a ton of scammers that will rip you off before you know it. Google Nigerian scams and such.

If you have any questions you can email me. Good Luck!

When I started, I bought a book "Starting an Ebay Business for Dummies". It tells you everything you need to know to sell on ebay. It will set you back about $20, but its worth it.

The problem though is that though selling on ebay is really easy, sourcing merchandise cheaply enough to sell on ebay… Not so easy.

It is quite possible to make a decent living off eBay, but you have to know what you’re doing. There are no shortcuts.

You need to (1) chose a product that is in demand, (2) know your product extremely well, (3) have a source to purchase that product at a very good price, (4) know the marketplace for your product, (5) know where you can fit into that market, and (6) be able to sell your product at a competitive price on eBay, yet (7) still assure yourself of an adequate profit for your effort.

It’s not easy to get started, as you can see, but if you get all the pieces to fit properly, it can be very lucrative.

You can use the following tools to try and find your niche product.

    http://pulse.ebay.com/

    http://pages.ebay.com/marketplace_research/

While Ebay Pulse is free, you would need to pay for Marketplace research. I find Marketplace Research very useful as it gives me a market "feel"of the products I am selling. I would also able to do a check on my competition.

You can sign up to my free newsletter to discover all the creative ideas you can use to earn income from Ebay. Notice I say earn income, not sell at Ebay as there are some ways you can earn income without selling at Ebay. Note sure why you would start selling on Ebay anymore.

Ebay is moving tword fixed sales and with the new feedback and fee changes are forcing out many small sellers.

A month ago Ebay changed the feedback system so that small sellers who get non positive feedback can very quickly be limited/paypal suspended. Any ebay user must maintain a 95% feedback rating per month or their account is seller limited and paypal payments are frozen for 90 days. Thus if you sell a few auctions in a month and get 4 feedbacks and one is only a neutral then you account is frozen because your ‘positive’ rating is only 75%.

This system is suppose to protect buyers but what it really is doing is the opposite by forcing out small sellers. A large seller who gets 200 feedbacks a month still gets 10 negatives for screwing buyers and still be ok while the small seller as described who gets one neutral gets the shaft.

So, sell at your own risk and be prepared to loose money, get ripped off and to bend over backwards to try to get a positive feedback from your buyer. Also note that the change only allows the seller to give positive feedback to the buyer. The seller cannot give neg or neutrals anymore so if a buyer ripps you off you cannot give non positive feedback so they do not get limited as stated above.

So, sell at your own risk but beware you are in for a hard road.
