What is a good item to sell on ebay to make good money?

December 8th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I want to make some good money on the side selling on ebay. I am not sure what to sell though. Can someone help me out?

Thanks.

You only need 1 type of items: short supply. That goes with anything. Since Ebay charges outrages fees, you might as well make a good amount and make it worthwhile. That could be anything in short supply, from watches to games. Remember when the xbox 360 sold out? Remember when the Nintendo Wii sold out for about a year? There was only one place for sure you can find, although it would cost a customer double price: EBAY. Ebay is the largest free-market in the world! People go to this website to find things they would not find anything else in the world.

If you are willing to make some good money on the side, that could also mean waking up early to go to them special sales. And be prepared for Black Friday next year. Go to places that are going out of business as you can find great deals there. Your local thrift shops are a treasure made to be found. There you can find books that you can sell at the true value as some college students find great deals on books on the website that they would normally pay hundreds for them. And best of all, you get a good profit. You do not need to invest that much, just invest most of your ebay business on your researching to give a convincing credibility on the item you are selling.

Whatever it is make sure it is a high percentage proofit item, as ebay & paypal fees can be as much as 18%. I sell on ebay (usually lower end items) and their fees keep going up.

Clothes do well. Jewelry. Vintage stuff. Look around your house and put it on ebay for what you’d want to sell it for in a garage sale. Don’t put your shipping prices too high and there ya go!!! >>>

Unique items sell best. My advice is to think of areas you are interested in, and do a few searches on eBay, sorting by "highest price first" to see what items do best in your interest areas. Good luck!

Brand names such as Tiffany & Co., Versace, Prada, Juicy Couture, Coach, Dooney & Burke, Chloe and similar items- *IF REAL*- are the most sought out items and trust me on this one, they will get the most bids. Also, oddly, comic books are hot commodities as well, only if they are in mint-decent condition, it also depends pretty much on what no. & volume the comic is. I sold a old Archie one on ebay that ended up going for thirty dollars!?, i was blown away, needless to say. But yes, my7 point is that retro collectibles such as comic books & marked gold jewelry are all very good things to sell that will most likely be sought & auctioned by potential buyers. Good Luck!!!

Anything electronic should get you a good price!
Just remember that you may not make a profit though, afterall the items you are selling ARE second hand.
Don’t let that put you off however as there are many buyers online who are willing to pay literally ANYTHING for a certain product.
I would personally suggest electronics as they get the highest prices, just remember to be as descriptive as possible when you write about the product that way more people will find it!
