How long does it take for my Pay Pal to receive a payment from an eBay selling?

I sold something on eBay and it’s been a day since the person bought my item, it says that the checkout was complete but I haven’t gotten the money yet? Should I just hold the item until Pay Pal gets the money? BTW this is the first time I have sold on eBay.

Yes, hold on to the item until it shows up in your PayPal account. And don’t take any email’s word for it, go directly to PayPal to check.

i know what could be your problem , if this is your first item sold , and if the payment shows unclaimed , maybe you haven’t confirmed your paypal account , log in to your paypal and check TO DO LIST including confirming the email address and linking your bank account
also maybe the buyer used Echeck which takes about 4 days to clear , However hold on to your item until you confirm the payment , if it’s about confirming your paypal account , do it as soon as possible as the buyer doesn’t care if you have confirmed it or not , he already paid , and that can cost you a negative feedback or low rating on the shipping time category.
    good luck

it will be on your paypal balance but you can only put it into your bank account after 21 days, or unless the buyer leaves positive feedback. The 21 days is to make sure doggy sellers can’t run away with the money.

Hamza is spot on, it is the 21 day hold, monies will be released as soon as positive feedback is left or in 21 days, whichever is sooner. You need to send the item now not in 21 days or your buyer will open a dispute, get refunded and neg you.

when you sell an item you should put a dispatch date on when you are going to send it. you should stick to that date because the person who has bought your item will be expecting it. if they don’t receive it then they will report you & have to be refunded. but you won’t be able to get the money until 21 days.
