Is there a polite way to asks a buyer to leave feedback on Ebay?

I was just wondering what people do when buyers don’t leave feedback. Do you just shrug it off and figure not everyone will take the time? Do you have some polite way of reminding them to do it – or would that be considered rude?

I had my first sale not long ago, and was really excited about it. It hasn’t been that long (about a week), I suppose they could just be slow about the feedback, but I’m starting to have my doubts. Where it is getting frustrating is that they seem to have left feedback on their other purchases, and in reading feedback from other sellers there is no mention of this buyer not leaving feedback for them.

In the future should I wait to leave feedback as a seller until they leave me feedback as a buyer?

I think that ebay does an automatic email thing. No feed back is better than bad feed back,

Whenever I buy of ebay I always forget to leave feedback, but its not on purpose. Especially because I don’t use it very often, It doesn’t seem that important to me. But now that I know it makes people happy, I will start to leave feedback 😀
