    Thanks for the info …
Thanks for the info. Another one of my viewers also told me that the charm on the necklace was Venus. And the necklace that you saw on ebay is my listing…..lol! I put it up for auction last week. TFW, Heather

    I have some info …
I have some info about the necklace. It’s a Venus figurine necklace. Not the legit ones from ancient years ago but maybe like a gift shop item from some historical place. It was said in Neolithic times that it increased Fertility in women. Type in Venus Figurine Necklace and your surely to find something.

    I didn’t get a …
I didn’t get a store until I had at least 100 Buy It Now items in my inventory. I honestly don’t think it’s worth it if you only have a few listings. When you have a bigger inventory, it’s definitely better to have a store. Plus you get other benefits like being able to put items on sale, put the store on vacation, etc. You can do auction and BIN w/ a store. I usually list all my items at auction for a week. If it doesn’t sell, I relist it as a BIN item. TFW, Heather

In your opinion is it better/cheaper to have a store on ebay? Also with a store can do do auction items as well as buy it now?

    Slim pickings here, …
Slim pickings here, too. I have only found a handful of good things at garage sales this summer. Thrift stores are slim pickings, too. I’m sticking to estate sales from now on. Fortunately there is one good company in my town that has a sale almost every weekend and they price fair, plus day two is half off. At least what you have been able to find looks like good stuff! Those curlers will do well, as should the antique Bible! 🙂

    I agree with your …
I agree with your Perfect Storm theory. I think the heat was a BIG factor this year. And there is a lot more competition. But hopefully a lot of the new people will give up after they realize how much work goes into this business. I think a lot of them think that they’ll get rich quick w/ minimal work……that’s not the way it is. Hopefully things will pick up for us next month. Good luck!! TFW, Heather

    Thanks, perfume is …
Thanks, perfume is always a little risky, but in the long run, it usually pays off. I actually bought a little sign when our local scrapbook store went out of business and I was going to alter it, but I never got around to it…..story of my life! Thanks for reminding me that I need to do that. It would look good at the start of my videos. TFW, Heather

    We don’t really …
We don’t really have any thrift stores here, but the couple we do have are awful. I did hit the Salvation Army store last week and actually scored a bunch of counted cross stitch kits for only $1.99 each. They went up last night and I’ve already made a profit. What’s REALLY overpriced around here are the estate sales. TFW, Heather

    Good to see your …
Good to see your videos once again Heather. I was talking with some friends at a coop I rent with and we all agree this has to be the strangest summer we have seen since 96 (lot of reasons that year was crazy though). The only answer we can come up with is a “Perfect storm” scenario. The combination of this crazy election season, hot weather, less disposable income to buy new stuff so people keeping their old stuff, and heck of a lot more competition. Who knows , keep pushing forward!

    Great finds and …
Great finds and good score on the perfume. I haven’t stumble upon any, yet. There was one time but it was worthless so I did not buy it. I like the grid mat you’re using. Would be cool to see “The Paper Castle” (your crafty work) on the center of it with your very own logo or just a cool font. Looking forward to your next one.

    I HATE the sales …
I HATE the sales where they have printouts all over everything!! It’s so frustrating. They don’t want to sell on ebay b/c they’re lazy and don’t want to do the work. If you don’t want to do the work, then don’t expect ebay prices! I could rant about this for hours, but I’ll shut up now…lol! TFW, Heather

    I’ve had the same …
I’ve had the same experience a you Heather put here in Colorado. Just have not had the finds I had last year. So frustrating. You know it’s a bad sign when you walk up to a sale and they have notes on the stuff as to what it sells for on eBay. Lol. My response is , then SELL it on eBay. Sheesh! Good job on the perfume!!

    Glad to see you …
Glad to see you back! Sales have been tough down here too! Hubby and I took a booth at an antique co-op in Clermont, NJ Teaberry. I have been looking for everything since March! So far so good. I am waiting for the right buyer for a Limoges China set I got from 1884. I also have some inside info on the Ranger Sale this year, so send me a private message!
    Take Care,

    LOTS of people buy …
LOTS of people buy used or old perfume. It’s risky b/c sometimes the smell changes and they want to return it, but I’ve only had that happen once. But it’s still worth the risk if you can get it cheap enough. TFW, Heather

Great scores! Sorry you have had slim pickings but looks like you had some good finds never less! Hope you have a great birthday coming up! Enjoy! I know the heat here has had things slow as well. I am hoping that a bit cooler weather coming up will open things up a bit more and make things better for us

Muchas gracias, Juan ! It’s good to be back. I feel bad that everyone else is having bad luck too, but at the same time, it’s kind of comforting knowing that it’s not just me! Fingers crossed for September and October. I’ll have to make a good wish when I blow out my candles on Sunday! TFW, Heather
