Too many clothes! What should I do- Garage Sale, Ebay, Consignment Shop, Goodwill? Help!?
I have lots of nice clothes. Some still with tags, most never been worn. Good brands, average brands. I need to get rid of them- I have at least 15 large boxes of dresses, shoes, coats, pants, shirts, etc. Has anyone had this dilemma? I’ve never had a garage sale, never used a consignment shop, etc. If its a garage sale- how do you price it? Any tips?
You can make a decent amt of money on Ebay, especially if the clothes are how you describe them. The only catch is that they cut a cut of the money and even if you do not succeed in selling the item, you have to pay them.

If you want to be a saint (and, if youre old enough, get a tax deduction) donate to good will. they usually have an area on the side of back of the building specifically for donations and ask for a reciept for the deduction.
If you want money, i think consignment shops pay. You wont get too much for them though. If you have a Plato’s Closet in your area, they buy clothes.
Garage sales pretty much suck, everyone wants everything to be under 5$ though if that sounds good to you just find somewhere to buy or rent a mobile clothes stand and hang up all your clothes, or fold them on tables.

You’ll probably get more taking it to Plato’s Closet if it’s popular brands like Abercrombie. Depending on where you live, garage sales will get you money, but you can’t charge more if it’s never been worn. Really worn name brands work best there. I’ve never tried eBay, but I think that will be your best bet for stuff with the tags still on.
If you aren’t looking for cash and just want to get rid of the clothes, donate them all to Goodwill.

ask your friends and family if they want anything
hold a garage sale
for the clothes that don’t sell – donate them to charity

I have definetly ben through the same problem.
I started out with a grage sale (Hint: some people might try to bargain with you..)
Just hand posters up around everywhere.
Then, the things I didnt sell I sold on e-bay and cheap things that obviously no one would by I would give to Goodwill….
also consignment shops are obviously really good too for things like name brand jeans.
