Holiday Selling Tips for Amazon and eBay Finding Inventory Over Pricing Reselling Online

It’s time to make some money this Christmas and Holiday season. Hopefully you had some success with Cyber Monday. The first thing is to not undercut every low price. If you are selling a popular item, your competitors will sell out and you can continue to make sales at your price. To figure out how many items a seller has in stock on Amazon. Add their item to your cart, then edit your cart and change the quantity to 999. Then you will see how many that seller has to resell.
Make sure that you are allowed to sell in a category. You had to qualify to sell toys on Amazon this holiday season. Also check if you can list certain popular electronics as new on Amz. One time I had to list my NEW items as REFURBISHED. So try to add the item into your inventory and see if you get any error messages.
Remember that Toys R Us has stores in the mall so ypu can check to see if they have an item you have found to resell. Make sure you keep an eye on any boxes you have scheduled to be picked up by UPS or USPS. You might even want to ask customers if they would like signature confirmation, but be sure to ask as it can be a pain if they work during the day. Also make sure you items arrive before Christmas. Adding express mail as a shipping option will help your sales on eBay.
Hopefully you guys will make a lot of money this Holiday Season.

Thank you for taking the time to make all your videos, I have learned a lot from you. I am going to start an eBay business soon. Thanks to you and others like you, I think I have learned enough of the do’s and don’ts to mostly keep myself out of trouble. Not to worry, it’s nothing that will compete with you.

    Katie, I recently …
Katie, I recently found a decent light tent in the clearance area of a local Goodwill here in Western, NC. I have since bought lights, etc., and am now starting to shoot some of my first items for sale on E-Bay.

Have you thought about doing a video on photographing items for online sales?

BTW, thanks for the tip on Uline. Now I know where to buy smaller boxes to ship a lot of my costume jewelry pieces and save some shipping costs.

Haaa, undercut. I haven’t heard the term since I used to scalp tickets and belong to some seller sites (well, maybe I still pull some stubs once in awhile but not so much anymore as it’s tough to compete with the giants with bots). Funny thing is once the kids looking for beer money and can’t hold them for longer than 2 days clear out, the money will be there if you know what you’re doing. Much like anything else. Nice to hear from you again.

    They buy your …
They buy your electronic goods i.e laptops, cameras etc. strip it for parts then claim it doesn’t work or not as described. Then you’ll have to accept return on it so they can claim a refund. You lose your goods and the lost of shipping cost as eBay always sides with the buyer.

Not any more. I had a customer claim that they didn’t receive the package but the delivery package stated that it did arrive. It’s cut and dry in their policy. Ebay ruled in my favor as a seller.

I know some of it …
I know some of it is exaggerated, but from everything I have read, Ebay will bend over the seller basically all the time. Also, delivery confirmation does not actually mean delivery confirmation. It only counts for being in the area. It’s a sick joke and nearly worthless.
