Have you seen these results of boycotting Mexican illegals on 5/1/06?

December 21st, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

On May 1st, as a result of the Mexican boycott, national retailers reported 4.2% lower sales for the day, with a 67.8% reduction in shoplifting.

Statistics lie and liars use statistics.

The May Day boycott was "A Day Without Immigrants", not "A Day without Illegal Mexican Immigrants". The people boycotting were both immigrants (legal and illegal) from all over the world and their supporters. Their were many countries of origin represented, not just Mexico.

National retailers are not able to report on shoplifting stats in such a short amount of time: 10 days between the date of the boycott and the date of your posting is not enough time for individual retailers to perform inventory, file reports with their national office, and have the national offices report on their findings.

If there was a 67.8% reduction in reported arrests for shoplifting on that day, then we should be thankful to our immigrants. A reduction in arrests may be attributed to store security staff participating in the boycott. So, the stores should be thankful for their immigrant supporting security staff that does such a wonderful job of catching shoplifters. After all, when their immigrant supporting security staff are working, they catch 67.8% more shoplifters.

Additionally, by calling people "illegals" you are dehumanizing them. This is similar to what has been done throughout history: people dehumanize groups of people to justify genocides. The Germans, Austrians and Polish governments did it to the Jews; the Serbians did it to the Croations, the Tootsi’s did it to the Hutus. You are not the only one guilty of dehumanizing an entire group of people. I just finally had to say something.

The term "Illegals" is used to dehumanize immigrants to the United States of Mexican origin. And, people will argue, "but they are illegal". Many of them ARE legal, many are not. But, we don’t call Jaywalkers "illegals", even though they are doing something illegal. Please refer to people who are here without proper paper work as "illegal immigrants" – this term is not dehumanizing.

As for the other stats listed in the answers portion:

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County (L. A. County has 10 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes.
> Most eBay vendors don’t pay taxes. I didn’t realize they were all in LA county. Let’s call all those eBayers who don’t pay taxes "Illegals" too. I love pulling statistical B.S. out of my tush.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
> That’s because they are arrested for being here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
> So what? Wait! I thought they were all on welfare and living in HUD housing. Which is it?

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
> "Most likely"… now that’s a good one to quote!

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
> Boyfriends, girlfriends, ex-husbands, roommates and youth over 18, and cousins aren’t allowed in HUD housing – they are all illegal…. though not necessarily illegal immigrants.

10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak
Spanish (10.2 million people in L. A. County).
> This is such a silly stat: probably about 3M out of the 3.9M speak both English and Spanish, so do we have 4M people in LA who are deaf, dumb and mute and speak no language? Your numbers don’t add up.

Over 70% of the United States annual population growth
> If we didn’t have immigration, the population of the US would actually be decreasing due to a low birth rate. Since the birth rate makes the population decrease, of course the increase is due to immigration (and people living longer)

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
> Makes sense if illegal aliens are being incarcerated for being here illegally. Makes the reader assume that they are in jail for other crimes though.

I’d believe the lower sales, but the shoplifting statistic sounds a little inflated. Source of your information please?

Oh, and by the way? I work in retail and most of our shoplifters are white.

That is reality do you think ILLEGALS ARE A BIG PART OF OUR ECONOMY?? THEY ARE NOT. I bet they even reported a shorter line at the welfare line, more mcdonalds orders were given correctly on that day, less gangbangers on the streets were seeing on that day, waste management reported less garbage on the streets exept for the streets that they protested on.

    hahahahaha, that is funny.

The they cost the city of Las Vegas 35,000$… know what it was for? Police Overtime pay.

This is from the L.A. Times… (Surprising) Think about this…

    1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County (L. A. County has 10 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

    2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

    3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

    4. Over 2/3’s of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien
Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

    5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

    6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

    7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

    8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

    9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

    10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak
Spanish (10.2 million people in L. A. County).

(All 10 from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.

The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was a NET (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay) $70 BILLION a year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University].

The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

If they can come to this country to raise Hell and march by the thousands, Why can’t they take charge over the corruption in their own country? We are fools for letting this continue.
