Is it hard to start selling one eBay?

I just got on there last night no one has bid on my 2 items or watching them. i put it up for a 5 day auction should i do a shorter one?

Many items don’t get bids until the last few minutes. It all depends on the items you are selling. I always list for 7 days, that gives people more of a chance to see the item. Myself and many sellers I know aren’t getting many bids or sales right now. It’s just a slow point for many right now.

It’s not hard selling on EBay, I suggest letting the auction run it’s course of 5 days, more people will get to see it. It may or may not sell but don’t get discouraged, the more items you put up the more sales you should get. There is a great article on http://www.sourcedistrict.com that explains the ins and outs. Good luck.

Typically speaking, the longer the auction, the better. You want to try to set all of your auctions for 7 days. Also, it’s been proven that people buy more on eBay on Sunday than any other day, so you might want to list your auctions on Sunday afternoon.

Another problem might be the price that you set the auction at, but since you didn’t mention it in your question I can’t really evaluate that aspect of it for you.
