I am a new Christian, can it really be this easy?

I was raised in church and basically forced to go. Well after straying and reviewing all the options, I’m back. lol. So, I closed my eyes and said a little prayer and told God I was all in. I have never really stopped praying, prayed every night and while driving and stuff all through life but didn’t have faith. So since I rededicated my life, I have prayed on a few topics and just left it to the lord. Not trying to predict the outcome myself. He has came through every time. It’s making me tear up because it’s like he will control everything if I ask him. Well last night I had some stuff weighting me down about bills and money and stuff. I just told him that I knew he would take care of me and he has got me through 30 years of life so far. I said I just leave it in your hands. Show me what to do and I’ll do it. I sell stuff on ebay and craigslist and it’s been real slow, well I stopped worrying and slept peaceful and woke up and have been answering calls and emails all day. He has sent me almost $500 worth of sales in about 8 hours today. Is this for real, it seems like everyone would do it. I just want to tell people how he’s blessing me. I’ve heard people say "We are blessed" and now I feel that way. Praise God….
Yea, I may have not explained it all. I am aware that everyday can’t be a walk in the park. Just one that is not about me making money, for instance my father has not been working. Not because he can’t find a job but he got lazy for a while. After praying on it, 2 weeks later he made a bold move and went to work for a large company out of state. Lord knew it was time.

It’s just that easy…..when you give it all back.

God is buying things off you? Personally? Interesting.

    Otherwise, meaningless.

    God bless you!

However, be aware: The Christian life has ups and downs and God does not promise everything will be easy once we become a Christian. After all, life sure wasn’t easy for Jesus!

It was easy like that for me at first. then the tests started coming and it got hard. But that was my fault because I took my eyes off Him. Every time we leave it to Him. He works it out.

I have to warn you, Christianity is never easy. He takes care of his people, yes. But the people on Earth will be against you.
It’s not a walk in the park, so keep your faith in yourself, not your experience on ebay.

    God is good.

But no, it’s not all easy. You will have some ups and downs. Stay strong in your faith. Stay in the Word. Pray. Unite with a Bible-believing church and serve in a ministry. I’ll pray for you. May God continue to bless you as you serve Him.

Nothing worth while is EVER easy because you appreciate it more if you work for it. I think that you had SOMETHING to do with getting those sales. GOD may have sent you the possibilities of sales, but you closed them. Don’t sell yourself short. GOD helps those who help themselves.

God is blessing you, and He always has been, just when you are closer to God, you become more aware of His blessings! Praise the Lord, His child is (you are) recognizing His hands!

I find it interesting that your god would help you but not those starving kids in africa, or those parents who have to watch their deformed babies die, or those children with cancer or AIDs. I also find it interesting that you pray to your god for money, then you actually work for the money, then you say your god did it. That’s interesting to me.

There are great moments with God. But He also takes you on a roller coaster ride. Its easy to be thankful when everything’s going great. But the real test of our faith comes through the difficult times. So hold on to your faith especially then!

A friend told me today, "Unless we come to a place where we are the end of ourselves, we will not be pushed to grow." He will stretch us to a point of being uncomfortable, so that we can become more like Him. So through these times, remember how faithful HE has been to you, and you’ll come out of the season a stronger person.

As an atheist I feel I should tell you about a similar experience…

I also sold on eBay, I ran a shop for two years and business became slow. I continued to sin in every possible way at every opportunity, I laughed at religious believers, denied the holy spirit, laughed at the whole idea of any religion being anything other than outdated crap, and never once felt bad about it.

Well what do you know, despite me having absolutely no religious faith or beliefs whatsoever, my profits grew and grew and the shop became more successful!… And then there came a time when sales dipped… And then they grew again!….

You see, that’s what happens when you run a business, be it large or small. It does not take any kind of divine intervention to boost sales, or lose them.. It happen all the time.

God didn’t bid on eBay, people did… Are you that silly you can not understand that?.

Maybe one day you will see sense again?.

I have almost the same story. I pray for something and it happens. It makes me feel bad that God is so good to us without us deserving it.
