How long can it take to start up an eBay business?
I’ve always wanted to be independent and work for myself doing this, but when I tell people they just laugh at me.
I currently do a small amount of e-bay business.
I would say a month or two. It doesn’t take that long to list items and such but on e-bay a lot of people will not buy from you unless they can see that you have previous positive sales. They want to read your feedback and make sure that other customers were happy with the service. This can take a while to build a reputation that will encourage buyers to buy. It will start slow, but if your product is good, and your prices are low, then your business will do well.
Let them laugh….. while you are making regular deposits into your bank account from paypal.

Hello,
It is not a big deal i guess. To start, you just have to register yourself in the ebay website and then start you auctioning. If the products you sell are good and if you have a good reviews you will be rated high, and your business will improve. that’s it i guess
good luck with your new business

It could take you 10 minutes to start up an eBay business.
First, you need something to sell.
Second, you need to have an account on both Paypal and eBay.
Third, you need to list your item.
Fourth, make sure you treat the customer right and get good feedback. Feedback is king on eBay.
Go from there. Look around your house and find something to sell. Make sure it isn’t bulky because you may have to ship it.

ebay can be a good place to make money but its a lot of work and it can be costley in the long way.
First know what your going to sell see if it is somthing their is a lot of people selling and if the price is what you can make money on.
be ready to put money up, as they say it takes money to make money and you may see little profit at first you half to build your reputation, get the feel of it and know that you have a market for what your selling.
good pictures so make sure you have a good digital camera lots of people will only look at your picture and your feedback and shipping cost so make sure you have a good picture you don’t want bad back ground.
Look around ebay and see how others are selling stuff educate your self their are a lot of good books out their.
remember you half to pay to list on ebay so their are fees so make sure you are making enouph to cover that pluss you will more likely want a paypal account if you don’t have one 98% of ebay won’t shop with people they can not use a credit card on.
SO YOU ARE LOOKING AT i WOULD SAY A GOOD YEAR TO BE A REAL BUSINESS TO GET STARTED I WOULD SAY AT LEAST 3-4 MONTHS TO REALLY BRING YOUR SELF TO KNOW YOUR ITEMS HAVE IT IN STOCK AND BUILD A REPUTATION.
once you start if you are selling good and you have a client tell your next step would be build a store again monthly fee but you get cheaper listting fee and gallery but ebay dose not help you so you will still need auction to drive people to see your store.
I know i am leaving somthing out but its a start Good luck and don’t get in a hurry i think if you take your time and really know what you want to do you can do it.
