It was a slow holiday weekend for picking, but I did manage to find a few things. Also, thank you to all my subscribers who taught me what a food pusher was!

    Thanks for the …
Thanks for the great comment, Dave! I ended up getting the shot glass for free! The little old lady didn’t have a price on it and ended up giving me a great deal since I bought 6 or 7 things! The food pusher was free too and both those items have bids and people watching them.

    That food pusher …
That food pusher must be from Victorian times, they had gadgets for everything, how distastful to touch your food. Victorians would never have used a piece of bread or a roll to get food on their forks, they would use a food pusher….lol….enjoyed seeing your finds….

    I’m sure the jigger …
I’m sure the jigger was for measuring things for funky little elixirs and potions. It’s so cool to think about what that druggist must have made with that little measuring cup! I’m glad it gets to live with me for a week! I LOVE learning about the things I buy. Heather

Thanks, RuthAnn. I was completely fascinated by the pharmacy glass. I was also imagining what kinds of things that druggist was concocting with it. So cool! TFW, Heather

    Yeah, I could NEVER …
Yeah, I could NEVER get some of the deals some of the other pickers get. The people around here would be so insulted that they wouldn’t sell me anything! Only way to get a really good deal here is to wait until the end of a sale or buy in bulk. Heather

    Heather, great …
Heather, great glass pick! Love that. I was just thinking about that food pusher again and remembered how in Europe, they eat with the fork upside down and actually push their food onto it with the knife in their right hand. Perhaps the food pusher is a Childs knife version. Awkward for us Americans to even consider that because we just don’t eat like that. We learn from the etiquette classes to change hands after cutting our food. Also the little old lady story was cute. Pays to be cour

Thanks for sharing your new finds and the information you have learned..Have A Great Week…RuthAnn

    I wonder if that …
I wonder if that jigger was used to measure Rx’s for some elixer the pharmacist would make… esp. with the scratches on the side, and the time of day on it, (was it Breakfast, lunch, tea time? Anyway, that’s my guess.) Good luck with that! I’d like to know if it does really well.
